    Bajaj's uses 21w flasher so front indicator 10w + rear 10w + console 1w = 21w

    BUT

Honda uses 43w flasher, each bulb is 21w i.e front 21w, rear 21w and console 1w.

And someone said that i used capacitor, NO i didn't use any capacitor. Forget LED, why didn't it blink when I had put 10w bulb ??

These flashers have a lower limit. When you cross that, the flasher will not blink but remain ON continously.

Making a custom one with a 555 timer IC is not too difficult! You can search the net on this one!

    • Console backlighting

Those LED's on the console look fantastic.
I too want to go for those white one's on my CBZ console.
Unfortunately i am a layman to the electronic world (management grad.)

Guys, Could you please tell a simple way that i could benefit from?
I think i have enough juice in the battery as my brakelights are allready LED's and I'm running on stock headlamp.

I asked my mechanic about this and he said that it was not possible and even if they replace the bulbs the glow would be insufficient.

      • ^^Unfortunately, there is no easy way on this one. You have to fix a LED behind each digit on the meter and connect them properly thru resistors (and diodes if needed.)

        • abhijeet what about digital flashers ? have you made any ? i saw one that auto sets blink rate and is made for leds as well as normal bulbs .that should save some battery power .

          • ^^ Nope, did not make one personally, but should not be too difficult to make one. Circuits will be available on the net.

            • ^^Yes i am trying to get some knowledge about them.

I saw a few LED lights like LED STRIP, CIRCULAR LED LIGHT & BAR TYPE LIGHT. Can these be any useful to illuminate the console?

are these circular leds avalible in electronics shops? do u have a pic of them?

They are available as an aftermarket accessory in the automobile shops.
Circular ones cost 45rs and look somewhat like this

The color is white ,output is substantial and the plastic in front is clear type. The main drawback is that these do not adjust in the space inside the console. There are 12 white LED's and they are connected with 4 resistors(one after three).

The thing needed is somewhat of this size except that you have to dismantle it to make it fit. Don't know about power consumption though..
Trying for something like this or else a digi console like that of Gs150 so that my stock console remains safe.

                    • thanx for the pic

i was planning to do something like this for my unicorn tail lamp...like two round shaped ones in the tail lamp, like that in the cbr150...i ve mentioned it before...
'll enquire in some accessory shop and see whether the size will match..and hope it would be available with red led also..

                      • i am writing in connection to where the thread stArted .i got few dozon leds which was quite expensive big(8 mm or more i guess),can handle 3 volt alone!!so i attached 4 of them in serise on a veroboard and did a circuit of 4 rows of leds total 24 leds.and it can with stand 12 volt directly,no prob.i started the bike revved it,no prob...also blazingly bright whithout any focal point.but must say after putting inside the pulsars back light just like master abhi did ,i realized the brightness is low in compared to stock 5/21 bulb.

now arent you guys are worried that there can be a visibility issue at night when riding through highways.......i feel it tremenduslyyy.....
i mean its even low then a 5/10 bulb i used,,,

                        • ^^^ I would say mine is good enough during night but does not grab attention during daytime. So it is slightly lower. Solution is to go for brighter and more expensive LEDs. They can outshine normal bulbs!

Man, u've connected 4 LEDs in series without resistors? It'll blow off within no time as the LED requires only 30ma for each one and the current from our batt is very very higher, so a resistor is a must. U've tackled the voltage now by making it in series and so is the case with the currrent too. There are few sites for LED resistor calculations.

                            • Guys,
Today I found one CBZ extreme tail lamp was broken and able to see the inside board with LEDs. I guess it will be fit into the RX100 tail lamp based on the size am telling.
So is that extreme tail lamp works on A/c wiring then is it possible to fit it on my RX100 tail lamp by drilling the board and fitting into that two screws.

                              Gurus please your sugestions....

                              • Those runs on DC I guess. And you would need a bridge rectifier to convert ur AC to DC. And if you can fit the LED board, it should not be a problem.
