  • Yah I have the Bridge rectifier ...Let me try to get this tail lamp from HH spares and try that. Any guess how much will it cost? Also for soldering rod?

    • ^^ No idea! Soldering rod will be about 100 bucks.

      • Hi friends, I too made a small modification for tail lamp of my Dazzler as I've to save power for the installed HID.

Check out the pics and video

The high power LED (Rs.8/- for one)

        PCB and bulb holder

        Before putting the red shade

        Tail light

        Brake light

That is innovative nidclt. Not only looks good but has a purpose to save power for HID. Good thinking and well executed. Your efforts are commendable.

Lovely design! Very clean install - looks like a factory fitted item. Congrats!

About the HID, does Dazzler h/l run on DC?

And what resistor values have you used for full and half brightness?

Thanks Abhi, You were my inspiration

No, Dazzler got AC lighting. I've changed the stock switch to DC(no rewinding and no RR swap). Just changed the Connection of the stock switch to DC which made my whole bike DC(including tail lights). I've not any faced battery draining issues yet, but I don't want to take a risk, so converted the tail lights to LED.

About the resistors. I've used only one 220ohm resistor. Tail light line passes through resistor and break light line goes straight to the array of four LED in series. There are two such arrays. The missing LED is behind the PCB, it will illuminate the stock reflector

I made a LED light for my pulsar 150 UG2 like this

I used 0.5mm transparent LEDs emitting red light
                  Resistor = 100 ohms
48 LEDS to glow when applied brake
                  24 LEDs for parking light
Diode and capacitor is the same as you suggested

Setup works ok, but not satisfied with the glow of those 48 LEDs when applied brake.

Can you please reply to these queries

                  1) Is the number of LEDs too much?
                  2) How much watts will the above setup take, parking and brake?
                  3) What is the forward voltage of the above said LED?
                  4) Will this setup consume more watts than a stock parking bulb?
                  5) What changes should I make to the above setup?

                    1) Is the number of LEDs too much?

Yes, use 4 LEDs per 'line'. Use more such 'lines' to get it total 48 LEDs. Use 300 Ohms per line.

                    2) How much watts will the above setup take, parking and brake?

                    Around 1W

                    3) What is the forward voltage of the above said LED?

                    Approx 2V

                    4) Will this setup consume more watts than a stock parking bulb?

                    No

                    5) What changes should I make to the above setup?

                    As answered above.

                      • Nice work bro. I'm an electronics student myself and i want to do something like this in my Pulsar 150 Dtsi. Can you explain how you connected the circuit to the supply?
More CC or Torque or Bhp doesn't decide who wins. Its the soul of the biker. Splendour and Pulsar are the same as long as the bikers share the same passion.

Use 200/220 Ohm resistor with 5 LEDs.

Thankyou very much abhijit,im very happy with its brightness.
what is normal life of led usd in our tail lamp?...normal life span is about 10000hours but dont have idea about use in retrofit in our bike.

                              • is there any Led used un headlight unit??
when i saw brighness of everedy 3w led torche i was shoked!!white light and piercing beam that can traveld 2.5km!!! its on that box but when i was saw this in night, bloody light focus traveld as higher than 400-500m and even brighter!!!
why dont used such high tech product for automobile!!!which are so much efficient!!! even i was also start thinking that how to fix in my bike
