  • Thanks..
U forgot second part of my post.
Can an H4 bulb be fit in a H7 socket? They both look alike. I was searching for an 100W H7 but couldnt find it. I reckon u use a 100W H4 from Osram. I can do jugaad for the wiring.

try searching for H4 to H7 convertor mods. THere r mods. But u need a hell of grinding and template job to make it.

      • In that case i will continue with my search for a 100W H7. Thanks.
Do u know any specific brands which sell them?

No idea, never been with a H7 too but H7 is not a obsolate model, I hope its available with all reputed brands. Gonna melt the high beam?

          • what about putting a voltage regulator IC (ic7812) to keep the voltage constant at 12v? so that leds wont blow off..

Why do u want to make it so complicated? Its a simple circuit..

Well these don't provide sufficient regulation. You can use them in current regulation mode though. Set the current to 20mA or so. But you need 1 reg for each series leg. (each leg will contain about 5 LEDs as - 5 x 2V = 10V)
                Too tedious!

to connect these leds to indicators do we need to change the values of resistors? have u tried it??

Yeah, you will need one in parallel to the LEDs. It will decrease the rate of blinking to acceptable level. Yeah, i have tried it. Were not too bright though. Could fix only abt 6 LEDs. You will need to fix atleast 20 LEDs for adequate brightness.

To each branch (which remains unchanged), we need to connect one resistor in parallel? how much resistance did u put?
we can put a variable resistance to adjust the blinking rate.. right?

                      • there is also a small device that corrects the Led blinking rates but i have not been able to find it . its available for 10$ online .

No. One extra resistor direct from +ve to -ve. Forgot the value. Like I said, I did not keep that set up for long though. Try about 10k and come lower.

It is just a resistor in there!

Ok...What exactly does that resistor do?

                            • ^The resistance of the LEDs combo increases and becomes similar to a bulb. So, the blinking rate slows down and becomes more normal.

Ok...i 'm thinking whether to do this or not...
will putting that parallel resistor increase the power consumption?
