        @ all.................

Actually I dint wanted to bring the REAL Premios like Comet GT250 or RD350.These bikes dint originate only for India by India to be termed as Indian Premium segment bikes. Most showroom walas and dealers call these legends as High performance bikes while in all other Ultra-Industrialized countries they are Base line performance, learner bikes etc. Both Comet and RD are detuned for India..............so yes pls also bring them in.who knows if someone goes for a second hand????

P.S. I also dint include the cuisers like Thunderbird or Avenger.......do we use them for street racing?????(which is also a part of commuting on my so called 'premium' bikes )

Previously-60 kms daily on a Karizma for three years - no worries,no hassels in overtaking, mileage I got was from 35-45, but got tired when was in heavy traffic.
No such big maintainence just regular services.

Now- 60-70 kms daily on a 'Orange' Apache RTR Fi for 6 months.Just love the flickability and handling of bike. All n all it returned a mileage of ~50,regular services and regular visits to SVC thats all.
Advantages-More you rip more power it delivers.
Worries- The digital meter wents kaput whenever I rip her hard.

Till recently, i was doing 90 km/day commute to office It was good for my soul, with lots of 'my' time. Now that i have relocated, its only 15 km

                Mileage: 32-35 i guess
Issues: Once my relay went kaput on DND.. had to drag the bike for 4km in the heat of June :-P

I have a P220 DTS-Fi. It is 9 months old and has run 16.5k kms. I usually use it for commuting to college and occasionally on long drives. On an average i drive the bike for about 100kms almost every day. It is really good. It has very good touring capabilities. Can do hundreds of kilometers nonstop. The bike is very very stable against cross winds. I can easily do 100+ with very dangerous cross winds.
The only major thing to be noted is the pathetic service of bajaj. They are not able to restore my bike to original form after a few crashes. The bike returns me a handsome mileage of 40+ under the most insane possible riding conditions. My bike has been subjected to very bad engine and gearbox abuse. Redlining from the day one itself. Shifting on the Redline on any gear and anytime and anywhere. I just cannot drive without the bike being in powerband. Countless number of burnouts and many many Intense drag sessions. Still the bike is doing very good. Minor glitches are present in any bike. Overall iam very happy with the bike.

I have a P220 DTSi which is 40 days old and has done 1470 kms till date.
I use it for daily commute to office of about 20 kms and short weekend rides of about 100 kms. The bike is very comfy to ride both for the rider and the pillion. The bike is returning a very good mileage of 43-45 kmpl in city limits. Have not had any major issues with the first service of the bike as well. All in all i can say i have invested in a good all rounder which serves well as a commuter as well as a good tool for touring. Now the big question is will the bike stand the test of time and kms to come which I am hoping it will as long as Bajaj Service don't screw up the bike.

my ride's a 2005 P150 ug2 with K&N airfilter and had clocked 55,ooo km till now.. returns an average of around 45-50 kmpl and daily commute is 50km + or -some figure.
Maintenance had not costed me a bomb ever and its still a reliable partner in all my adventures, tours and offcourse commute..

have done a good 30,000 + kms on my Thunderbird. returned mileage 40 +, now has dropped slightly. though regular maintenance, and chain tension and rear brake check were the top work to be done, servicing was very very important on this one.

Currently on the R15, about 7 months old, done 6,500 kms, same thing, chain cleaning every 500 kms, and tyre pressure check at that interval too.

I use(d) my Pulsar 180 (classic, UG1) for commuting to office (well, if you can call that bike a premium one after 6 years after being discontinued, and also, since today I shifted to a car-pool for commuting to the office).

Anyway, ridden moderately with some fast spells, I get close to 43kmpl from it. (last two months average)

for about a month last year, I rode at full throttle all the time, and got something like 35kmpl, but then the petrol prices went up real quick and my throttle opening angle went way down....

same route, different mileages - totally dependent on riding style. I guess what I am trying to say is, stop asking others what mileage they get, just get out there and ride.
