Ummmm .. does the Hyosung Aquila count ????? Since it wasn't in the list !!

Well I commute on it everyday !! It get a bit frustrating being stuck in the traffic, and it feels really bad that you can't open the throttle up !!

But the good thing is that my work timings are at an odd hour now a days so I get the roads relatively free !!

I really can't seem to know what difference it might have made if I've used it only on weekends or someting like that !!
Neways these 250cc bikes are targetted at commuters only in the west, so they shud be okay !!

I'd say the only difference is that the service interval km wise appears quicker !!
Kawasaki Ninja : Because lazy sunday afternoons should be despatched at 160 kmph!!!
Hyosung Aquila : Because sometimes you need to look cool while riding at 40 kmph and you can do that only on a cruiser !!!

half of the bikes given in the list (pg 1) are not really premium ,like unicorn and pulsar 150/180 , you can run them just like any other 100 or 125 cc bike,
coming to the topic ,i have a fz & u cannot run it like a 125cc ,get ready to spend on chain clean & lube (cost abt 950rs) ,but a must ,
worrying abt if ur bike will be stolen or not is also part& parcel of the deal ,
so is all the attention u get on the signals (dont know if rtr or zma hav to worry abt this though)

I own a R15 and it's my daily commuter and tourer bike. I do some where around 800+km a week, (Ahemdabad - Baroda up and down twice in a week). R15 gives me an average of 37 kmpl. Other maintenance that i have to keep note of are coolant & chain lubrication.

            I have a Zma 2006, done 25K.

Its slighlty modded(K&N, free flow exhaust, bigger jet, iridium spark plug)

I use it daily. Its the only vehicle I have. My office is not very far from home.
Around 10 kms daily, plus around 100kms on the weekends.

I get an average of 30-32. Maintenance as such is nothing except for the regular wash, chain tightening etc stuff. Rest all is fine.

I love this bike. It has enough power to kick the required adrenaline rush.

Good in city for maintaining decent speeds and those traffic light drags.
Very effective for Sport touring also

I use a FZS for my regular office commute atleast 3 times a week and the other couple of days in my '05 Zen. It s not too long a ride/Drive but as I work the grave yard shift the and finnish work by 6 am I take the long way home give my steed a good run around the city as the traffic is lees. She is spanking new (1085 kms on the odo) I cant really project my maintenece costs.

I find the bike to be an Ideal city tool, have not taken her out on the highway yet to expeirence how she behaves there. Her handling is awesome she corners like she is on rails and exits with a lot of grunt and power always wanted a bike that i could throw my knee out a corner like a proper sports bike and the FZs makes it possible. As far as the mileage goeas i dunno I think she is returning an avg of 40 which is awesome for me as I am used to running the zen as my regular commute and the FZS is saving me loads as compared to the Zen.

And also saving hard for a stable mate for my FZs and really undecided between the Fastest indian and the R15.

                  Bring it on dude!
The thread creator mislead us all.. He actually wants to decide which bike to buy (through this thread )..

@Mods: I hope I'm not taking this too far..
I personally think we can keep this thread to discuss our commuting experience with our bikes (any bike/150cc+ ones: left to you guys to decide upon)

I commute daily on my 10-year old CBZ which has done 70K kms., for 25-30 kms. daily. Do occasional top-speed runs when I like doing so.
