I noticed you have experience with a lot of motorcycles. I have purchased a GS150R and I came across this thread. I wanted to know what prompted you to buy the GS150R after reading the reviews on this thread & how do you rate this bike among the competition :P ??

Use P180 UG3 for commuting only. If you call it premium, that is. Now plan to use N650R for the same purpose, if I could book it...

I use my Karizma R since past 11 months for daily home-college-home in Calcutta, sometimes through city and mostly through the highway route which is double in length than the city one. My daily average run is around 60kms.

FE is around 38kmpl with mixed riding, and around 33kmpl when ripped most of the times.

18000 kms in last 11 months(3 months break inclusive) including few one day trips of 500 kms.

earlier commuted with pulsar 180cc when it was the fastest pulsar. commute was small - 9km roundtrip for 2 years and then 60km for remaining 2 yrs. clocked 50K on it in 4 years somehow.
then p220, the fastest indian, commuted 60-70km roundtrip daily, rain or shine, round the year. 30km on ODO in 1.5 years.
                both gave mileage of 33kmpl.

now commuting with Ninja 650R for same distance, mileage down to 15-20kmpl and distance same Just wont do it during the rains so P220 would take its place in monsoon.

I used to commute with an Apache RTR 160 in Pune, man what a pain in the ol' butt. Got a few dents to remember those days, but not on the bike.

I commute daily on a RTR 180 since last 7 months. Daily use is about 50 kms including some time for stunting. Was getting a good FE of 38 for first 6 months. Burned the valves and stuff mileage came down to 19 for the 7th month.

Got the big bore kit from joel, got it installed now the mileage is 52 exactly and i use 1 l of fuel daily.

I don't have to go anywhere since I got my own business at home. Thus I ride it less. Just for some fun at evening time. Still I do around 500Kms in a month.
Mileage I am getting from my Pulsar 220 is 40 mostly.

i guess 'premium' mentioned in thread title stands for premium bikes
but i suppose the petrol prices are too high that any bike is a premium at the moment!!
i do my daily drive to hospital for work on my FZ16 !
getting a mileage of 46-47 kmpl!!
Our bikes can go from 0 - Stupid in less than "I wonder if this will be a good idea"

i have a rtr 180.. using it from 2 years now!
gives a mileage ranging from 40-45 kmpl in mixed riding conditions!
                                hardly 500 kms a month i do!
but yeah the mileage is very much acceptable for the fun i get in return
