Good to know that the insurance covered the whole cost.
Btw, from which service center you repaired the bike in Jaipur ?

I purchased and get my bike serviced from AKAR YAMAHA ajmeri road branch Jaipur.

And I got the bike and the HANDLE BAR is wobbling left right furiously at speed above 65 km.

What to do? I took the bike to them they say don't ride it after 60 (WTF) and they cant figure out where the problem is today they will try with a new front alloy. Their service is PATHETIC!
4 rounds to them and still the bike isn't perfect! I am regretting buying from them :'( PLUS they treat our machines like shit they keep popping wheelies burnouts and skids they play from our machines the mechanics are just 20-25 years age and they aren't serious about anything :'(

EXTREMELY SAD about the bike and the cost of the insurance was 10,601Rs + They will change my from Alloy and add 3800+labor charges to the insurance bill.

But no perfection and 15 days no insurance money and the bike isn't even fine.

I also brought my bike from Akar Yamaha. Most of the mechanics are useless and they don't listen to what the customer has to say. I only did my first service with them and never went back.

You should try Roshan Yamaha, Raja Park. The head mechanic is quite knowledgeable and the mechanics tend to do a good job.

Don't go to Akar Yamaha, they won:t help you in any way.

      Ride safe and have fun.

Need some info for a friend.
His vehicle is more than 2 years old, but he never renewed the insurance policy after first years. Now can he opt for any other insurance company or does he have to renew from the old one ?

        Ride safe and have fun.

Go for 0 dep insurance, as most of the body is plastic, this will ensure you get most from insurance claim.

Any Specific Company you would like to suggest Amit?
I could not fathom options while Filing new Insurance online. Elaborations are appreciated.
I would also appreciate suggestions about how do I prevent bike thefts.

I dont have any personal experience with claims but Insurance Agents like Oriental Insurance, New India Insurance, etc, that have govt backing are considered better than private ones like ICICILombard, BajajFinance, etc.
My experience is that the privates are abosolutely hassle-free, but, charges are on the higher side of premium. The PSU Insurance Agents are not bad in Customer Relations either and are cheaper than pvt insurance agents. I always try to go for the govt. backed insurance agents. Hope this helps

                • Need Guidance on raising Insurance claim for Ktm duke 200 within a month of purchase

                  Hi guys,
I am from kolkata and as you can read from the subject heading, i am in a pretty bad situation. Bought my ktm duke on 17th April 2015, from VIP road KTM. Purchase experience so far has been pathetic, making this bike purchase regrettable. Its been a month, the showroom guys have my voter card from the day of purchase, no T/C No, no papers and a lot of lies. They gave me 2014 model, even when i kept asking for 2015 production model which came with the updates. I had to make 12-15 trips to the showroom to just enquire about papers. On top of that, i met with an accident on 13th May, got quite a few stitches on my chin. I got my insurance papers the very next day , with insurance effective from 13th May (Some luck). Bike's damaged from the left side - Foot rest, gear levers (heck the entire leg assembly), Tank cover, Tank panel, Grab rail. The bike's at the service centre, and i still dont have anything except the insurance and the purchase invoice.
The showroom guy, has been lying a lot which came out after, i got hold of their GM with some luck. They were trying to sell me a lot which they recieved on 24/11, but i took one they recieved on 22/1. GM told that they had later models at that time.
Sorry for this long story, but this was my first bike and i had to go against literally everyone - family, friends and took quite a loan. Now i need to know how to claim the insurance. Cant leave it to the showroom guys, dont trust them. Any help will be greatly appreciated

P.S - Insurance is from Bharti Axa Life Insurance

Hi Vishal, sorry to hear about your experience. Its time the owners stop taking the customers as granted.
I'd suggest you to scan whatever document you have and mail those across simultaneously to Bharti AXA and KTM India with the showroom in cc. Give them two days for a proper reply. If still no resolution is provided, lodge a complaint with the Consumer Forum with all the aforementioned in cc. Hope this helps.

Yeah, my family wanted me to opt for suzuki gixxer sf. I had even made a booking of 21000rs for the same, but listened to my heart at the last moment. Turned out to be a wrong decision so far. Hearing my case two of my friends opted for RS 200, rather than going for ktm duke/rc 200. Another one is opting for cbr 250.

My bike's at the service station, the service head Mr. Ashish says he will do the claim filing once he gets some bike papers. Showroom guy pradip says he will get the C/F for the vehicle done this week. Lots of contradictions, confusions. I have only the invoice and the insurance papers no other paper.

[email protected] is the mail id for ktm right?

                        Calm down!

Open your insurance policy and it will have the call centre number to which you have to call and register a claim. The call center executive will give you your claim reference number.

Fill up the claim form (check Bharti Axa website for the form) and submit it to SVC.

From this point on, your service advisor should be able to take it forward.

He is currently hesitating to do this because he doesn't seem to have got the RC made for you.

In any case, lodge a claim first with the call center as that is crucial.

Had my duke 200 crashed last month and its still in the KTM SVC .... I had it claimed and the insurance company says that I have to pay the full amount of the repairs and submit the bills to get the claim
I'm insured to National insurance .
Don't know anything about insurance claims as I had never done it before
