A couple of days back as it got pretty cold here in Mumbai coz of the winds, I fired the bike up in the chilly morning cold and it was up and running without skipping a heartbeat No more choke hassles and no more kicks!! No need to wait anymore.

        Am loving it

I guess the heavy duty maintenance free cam chain tensioner is a welcome upgrade as the older zmas were prone to the tensioner going for a toss

Yes thats a good upgrade. No more tik tik hassles now. And if anything happens, the warranty is there to change it up!

I guess that situation won't arise.

Please can some one explain what is the full form 2X Enkeis & what is cam chain tensioner ?

and hope 2x Nissins means the disc breaks...please correct me

Googled cam chain tensioner but can't find any suitable info which I'm looking for.
Let me start from the bottom,

There are three main types of camshaft drive used in motorcycle engines; roller chain, gears, and toothed belts. The ZMR uses a roller chain.
The cam chain tensioner maintains proper tension on the chain and the tensioner makes sure that, the Cam chain doesnt need maintainance to perform at optimised tension.

ZMR along with other Hero-honda bikes sports Enkei alloy wheels, which are on the dearer side as compared to other desi made alloys on most * other bikes.

                            * Not sure about the Yamahas & Suzukis..

                            @ Puneet

The ZMA- R + PGM-FI + Nissin at the rear would justify the new price tag, wont it ?

I spotted one black ZMR alongside me a few days back. The fairing is really good, the quality and paint finish is top notch. The front looks good but the rear is kinda average. The bike looks so much bigger from the front but loses the identity near the rear end.
Surely is a head turner at present and it should be, when i can see guys looking back at R15's then ZMR is a newer bike with a nice front end.

                              I have a few queries:
                              1. Have the tyres in ZMR been changed to tubeless ones now?

                              2. Chain cover stays i guess, depends on what you want. Sports bike look better without such covers but its India

                              3. RTMI indicator is a average fuel consumpn indicator or instant one? My Linea has a instant one and its insane- shows 40 kmpl sometimes and under hard accl shows 3-4kmpl. Its the average fuel indicator which is stable and stays around 13-14. Totally useless- if its instant one. Hate digital tachos though the welcome message is a nice touch.

I find it a bit expensive but then it boils down to personal preferences, what one wants from his money.
For power freaks or those who take revvs high when a R15 or someones else challenges them, Zmr may disappoint. If one is not a racer boy, ZMR is a good bike i think.
HH should have upgraded the power by a wee bit- many ZMA fans were waiting for it.

P.S: Anything to protect fairings? Its a heavy bike and may have the tendency to roll over if on side stand.

                                Tyres are now Tubeless.

I guess RTMI is an instant one
