BS Motoring : .....I gave it the stick, the ZMR showed 115 kph on the speedo pretty quickly, with much more to come. Though we are still to test it, the ZMR feels slightly quicker than before, perhaps because of the improved throttle response......

You could have easily put an (*) sign after your statement

Quite Honestly... I dunno..
Back in october wen i booked, they said it'll delivered in 2 months time..
but now they re sayin, the first 4 bikes wil b delivered only aftr a month..december that is... Seems lyk HH hav askd all those showroom ppl to use ZMRs as their showpiece for a while... Till all the customers slowly run away frm them..
Y cant they juz grow for GODs sake...

Any prospective buyers who re waitin for a test drive before buying, should drop that idea.. Go test drive the ZMA... Both are almost similar... The bike means Quality... Not as powerful as the 220.. Just marginal difference...
If u dont book it now, then u wont be gettin it atleast till 2011 it seems..

By the way i wrote the same to the HH ppl... Via their ' Contact us' option in their website... asking them the same question why cant they just improve..?? As expected, they din reply...hehe..

Haven Seen YELLOW Yet... but i can imagine that it ll be lookin great... as good as white maybe...But wont b as classy as white or black..

yes! your right! a full 2 sec slower to 100 is very much respectable and lets not forget, we are getting 9 more kgs of plastic, that makes it even more respectable

overdrive says is 125kmph. AFAIK, BI says its 126kmph. and i havent heard of anyone claiming 125 for p220 dts-i

The 220 Does 0-100 in 13.1 sec whereas ZMR does it in 13.8 secs... according to the bike india magazine... Bike india Is an exclusive Bike magazine which has got the most reliable numbers in d country...
and we dun mind sacrificing .7 secs for much better quality...

And ZMRs top whack is 126 kmph and that of P220 is 132.5
Again a 6.5 kmph top speed difference is not that ENORMOUS for you guys to go ballistic about... a 6.5 kmph can be roughly considered as d speed at which human beings walk... A standstill person watchin a walkin person wont miss the glimpse of the latter within a sec or even a minute right...??

And above all, its not as if you pulsarians are going at full throttle all the time right...?? Atleast for 95% time we spend on the bike, we go below 100 for sure... atleast a major major portion.... ( u may b an exception )....

So it means, the marginal difference can at best be just restricted to the stats....

And both overdrive and Bike india says that ZMR cannot match a R15 on the track but the 220 will struggle to keep up with ZMR coz of its inferior dynamics compared to d ZMR..!! Again, we dun spend ny time on such circuits, so this too can be considered as a marginal stat... which can be considered as somethin which can nullify your ' 1 sec 0-100 advantage stat ' or ' '7 kph top speed advantage'..

And the entire difference in class is obvious from these statistics alone...
A bike which has got 4 bhp more and almost 15 kilos less is able to gain only such fractional advantages... That speaks tons about the difference in quality and the depth of Engineering..

see overdrive figures. They are more reliable and more experienced that BI guys.
And BI has given the lowest figures for p220 and the highest figures for zmr than other magazines. Overdrive specifically mentioned its 2 sec slower. And so does zigwheels.
And also please tell where they said 220 struggles to keep with zmr on track?
Also the average human walking speed is 4.51kmph. And 6.5 is 2kmph more.

I have used a ZMA for three years and I never felt lack of power and thoroughly enjoyed it and I am sure I am gonna enjoy the ZMR the sameway. If the P220 makes you cry, just go and buy it. It is cheaper and more powerful. No need to cry that ZMR is 2 sec slower than a P220. And, you know, P220 is a full 5 sec slower than a Ninja.
