                • WELL.......what i read a couple of pages back about zma/zmr versus 220 .....is the same gugugaga....which i have been reading since 220 launched in 2007..... its quite boring now....... all 220 owners ur bike is the best ok......

we love our zma/zmr no matter how slow they are , or how bad they are......we just love zma/zmr.....

if anyone wants to do a 220 vs.zma pls go to orkut...the best place for ppl who wants to make biased comparisons....

ok...now focussing on the zmr.....few days back i complained that my zmr is giving only 38-40 mileage......so i finally went to SVC....and told them.......and i was surprised to know that engine oil was a little low...... after first service... the stupid guy who serviced my bike even didnt fill the oil completely.....i was so much irritated......

the service engineer told me that the engine was running a little hotter and thats why it was giving reduced mileage......

now it has gone up to 42 mark...hope it will touch more....

but I give a suggestion u to all bike owners that do check ur bike carefully while servicing....these craps can just do anything.....

after a fight with svc ppl the person who serviced my bike is removed.....im also writing a complaint to hero honda about this.......

hope this has not made any damage to the engine....

Ther is literal no show of ZMR here in Pune (apart from a display bike being reported by somebody here in one dealership)
Waiting period as everybody on majorly all parts of the country is saying to be 2 months...! Initially they had this excuse of RTO nod and all.
But delaying the process further only points out to one direction - AXING OF ZMA

HH launched ZMR due to falling sales of ZMA and direct competition from R15 and Pulsar 220....else they would have continued it till eternity.
Now with the ZMR adding to the competition, ZMA sales would further drop. At least 50% of ZMAs prospect buyers would be lured by the ZMR (if not more)
The deliberate holding back of the bike only implies to the fact that they want to finish off ther available stock of ZMAs and then go with the ZMR all guns blazing!

I cant find any other logical reason, its been around 2 months since its launch and it has still not made it to the market!

ZMA buyers, do think about this...!

                      • DevilPulsarian, ZMA-R sales have not dropped. They have infact increased in the last year. The number of buyers who can afford a ZMA-R (or a bike in that price range) have increased in the last year or two. I still see lots of new ZMA-R's here with T/R stickers. I spoke to a known mechanic in Service Center and he said the sales have not gone down.

At 1.05 lac, I do not think ZMR will be as successful as a ZMA-R. HH can sell more number of ZMA than a ZMR down the line. The main reason for this would be the almost same power of ZMR as ZMA and the maintenance cost for a ZMR will be on higher side with a fall or two.

Here in Hyderabad too, dealers are yet to receive a 'go' from Hero Honda. I do not have any clue why they held distribution.

Anmol, filling of less quanity of oil is completely unacceptable. I would strongly urge you to complain to Hero Honda. You can play with anything but not engine oil; anything could have happened. I also advice you to check engine oil level and do airfilter cleaning on your own and not to depend on the service center. You can check spark plug too. These three things are the core for a bike's service.

People who can pay over 1 lakh for a bike generally do not care very much about spares. Barring a few things, almost everything is similar and hence similar price expected. So in a span of 5 years of ownership of both the bikes, I really think the difference would be marginal (if et all) which would be nulled by a better fuel efficiency of ZMR.
Moreover you pay for the moon or the sun, it still is heavenly!

Anyways, sale figures could not be quoted by either you or me. But one thing is obvious, considering the way Honda does its business, ZMR would have been another (mere) sticker upgrade had they not lost somewhat in the market. Even if you closely look at the trend on xbhp, people asking for ZMA have reduced considerably!

Anyways, lets see what has HH in store for us!

Firstly i want to know what speeds were you doing in your running in period. I did find you quoting 80kays which shouldnt be done actually.. Was the oil not changed in the first service??

with regards to the zmr deliveries, its really a very very sorry state. But i think once the waiting period eases up things will be absolutely fine. I hope this time around HH does a good job of spares availability n all..
