  • DIGITAL CDI for the Classic pulsars

Guys forget about getting performace out of K&N filters and loud exhaust cans.....more often than not you ar just losing power really and screwing up your engine
if you want a real upgrade then go for the digital CDI specially made for the classic pulsars
you will have the following gains for sure

    1)better acceleration
    2)higher top speed
    3)better mileage
    4)much lesser emissions that stock

and it will also not strain the engine at all...

to tell the truth the DTSI is better than the classic not because of the two spark plugs but for the digital CDI and better ignition curve....

for guys in pune we can arrange a demo for both the Classic 150/180 and you can feel the diff your self.....

the CDI are also available for the RX series and the RDs....

i havnt put this post in the classified cos i am not selling this product but merely because it it soo good and all you guys shud know about it...i am using onr on my RD and it is whale of a diff over the any ****ty hotch potch rx cdi guys usually put....

Keep a lookout on this topic for more news

    Regards
RASH( i am not Rash_RP,the guy whose more popular here )

Ok i dont have a Digital CDI for any four stroke so cannot comment on that. but came close to getting one for my CBZ but by that time the bike was not with me any more.

But i have seen and ridden the RDdreams Digital CDI on both four stoke and two stroke on the following machines : CBZ, RXZ, and my RD runs a digital CDI. The cbz what you can notice is that the engine becomes very smooth and the midrange vibration which is a curse for the otherwise enjoyable bike is ironed out and the bike revs much better and higher. The bike is very smooth overall the rev range and worth every penny.

Now the RX the transformation is very different. The one i had rode did have some porting so the CDI complimented the engine work also revving like crazy to unknown regions of the rpm counter. Again the smoothness and agbility to rev higher and faster will give you enought kicks to go for it.

Now my personal experience on the RD. My bike was running the Shogun CDI which is the worst you can find for the RD (previous owner should have been killed for this.. but i could not get my hand on him). The timing was all over the place. The bike did not rev very well, the topend would just stop suddenly as it the bike has hit a brick wall.. the bike heated up like crazy also.... Now comes the digital CDI, I could not just add the Digital CDI because my present CDI would not support it. So got the whole kit from RDDreams and now the bike was transformed. The bike revved like smooth and the revs picked up faster and the brick wall was gone... The heating reduces considerably and I began to enjoy the bike more... Totally worth it if you are really into bikes and love you RD more than anyting.....

The classic pulsar engine runs in the opposite direction as the DTS-i. I hope the DTS-i CDI works on ur engine.

Simple! It spins in the opposite direction.
                        -Ajith

P.S. : After posting this I realised that I am essentially using the same words as above. I thought it was obvious enough. Rotation can only be in two directions. So the classic pulsar engine spins in one direction and the DTS-i spins in the other.

I would love to be proved wrong. Please walk into your Bajaj service station and verify this yourself.

Duh?? I dont understand your question completely. I dunno enuff abt pulsar to tell you all that. I am an RX guy. Somebody pls help this guy.

I do know this much tho. The timing is going to be all over the place. That 700 bucks will be wasted money.

If you are willing to spend so much, the unit that Rash is talking about is also a plug in fit and has a 100% better spark strength(that is the least, I believe in practice, at low RPM it is 300 better). It is a proper digital unit with a CPU. Your emissions will drop and the engine will run far smoother and cooler despite continuous full-throttle rides.

                              You decide.
