@insane: well the cdi's were of two kinds....the one fr 2400 was a fixed curve kind....with two curves two choose from......there was another which was programmable..which was more expensive...since nobody rele is equipd to programme it themselves....the price asnt mentioned on this forum...but if u want we could ask ron to make that one for u....for now we need numbers

my actual concern now isnt how good the cdi is, its if we can get ron to make them fr us now

this is the story you quoted

The more popular RDD cdis are for 2 strokes.
Have you contacted Ron about this? You could read through rddreams.com and find out about this.
In here torque is the one to contact about rdd kits. pm him for details

hey thanks for the link ttg...ive been looking for it for a while...do u know who rote the stuff on the site?? is he here on x bhp....the story kinda abruptly stops at around pg 25....the pages arent on the server anymore....was dying to read the whole thing, so i thot tat if the person concerned is on this forum...id request him to put up the missing part.

abt contacting ron...no i havent done it yet, but as earlier attempts have proven on this forum its convincing ppl and getting numbers , which is the hard part, so i thought ill do that before contacting ron.

and yeah i know the kits are more popular for two strokes, cuz considering , we dont rele have true performance bikes in this country and in contrast ...the rd 350..a two stroke...can offer supercar smashing performance, its understandable why the two stroke versions are more popular....but nevertheless , from whatever theoretical knowledge i have ...a digi cdi's benefits with a 4 stroke will b no less than those with 2 strokes, assuming its as well made and caliberated....but i think ron can do that since hes been into this stuff for years

I am in contacts with ron......But the bad news is that ignition maps. We can get the cdi kit offcourse.....But setting the map is completely different. There is a thread in xbhp forums called as navpreet 318's cbz. He too has the pro cdi but wasnt able to get the map correct, till date......Thats something very annoying. To get the maps correct we can take the bike to ron, in banglore. Ron can only set the map's correctly. So I would be going to banglore sometime soon to get the pro cdi fitted on my cbz as well as get the proper timing map. I am in early days of planning. Those of you intrested in joining me to take a trip to banglore are always welcome. Please post you feedbacks.....Thank-You.....
