      ^^same here,but instead i went a little bit far,fitted a 200 piston kit to that classic,
running with some flaws but bike is fun to ride..
if ever bajaj launches a dohc four valve variant. i am dreaming....
may be one day i will make my own cdi..
      ahhh still dreaming..

Yes.. you please continue with ur pulsar project.. do take a dyno run before and after.. those will prove the fact.. Dude, pulsar is just a commuter.. surely not a "RACE DERIVED" machine
I agree with you,the RD series is a legend.I hope to own one some day.Nothing like having a more fun to ride commuter....!

How is the clutch holding up to the extra power?

If you can be more specific, what aftermarket stuff?(clutch plates)What is the difference in pickup/the overall feel of the bike?

nothing special, just some hard springs, and lill thicker plates ,
will switch to r15 zapper soon,

ps. do anybody knows what kind of setup p200,220 use??
                    how many plates?
can we use the same bell and plate stuff in older pulsars?

i am really surprised too many people didnt want the digital cdi......i really want it not because i want my pulsar to go hell for leather but because i want it to become more reliable more efficient and particualarly because I DONT WANT IT TO FALL APART AND AGE THE WAY THE BIKES OF SOME OF THE OTHER PPL ON THIS FORUM DO

i hear that it makes ur bike smoother...well smoothness reduces wear and tear and also proper ignition timing and all improvs efficiency...and the life of the engine

@all pulsar classic owners:guys i cant be alone in wanting this cdi unit..i have heard of it and how amazing it is ,in other places besides this thread...cant i find 10 ppl who want this cdi so that we can convince ron to make it again. 2400 rupees is an awesomely competitive pricetag.and it can be shipped to all parts of the country so dont worry abt where u are

i am expecting a favourable response

for sure i will go for one, if it has a decent curve.....
but from forum it looks like he is not interested in this kinda stuff..
apart from that there are some other points like,
will it be a same curve project(same cdi for all versions150,180), both have different power characteristics
separate rev limiter out(i need it)
any chances of adjusting the curve!!
but still i will surely go for it, something is better then nothing.

"At speeds of 160 Miles Per Hour or say 257.44Kilometer Per Hour You realize the actual speed of your life, Life is Supersonically Fast, Don't miss anything, cause you know it wont come back to you again"

well abt 2 years ago i read abt ron's cdi's on a website abt a guy who used to prepare an rd 350 along wid his friends to race at various drag meets....the article titled 'the drag bike story' is abt 25 pages long in which he narrated abt the experience of modifying a stock rd .....one of the many upgrades they made was the rons digital cdi ....the observation they made after fitting one was...the idle was noticeably smoother and the engine was more free revving.....at that time i was only into cars wid no interest in bikes.....infact i din hav a bike bak then. but recently when i went through this thread, i thot my bike would be better off wid one
u c the pulsar being a 150 is actually a moped by international standards...so to expect huge improvements in power without sacrificing reliability is not realistic...nevertheless the cdi is something that increases the efficiency...... so u will get more power and and more milage...tho it may not be substantial

the reason i want it is that it will make the engine more SMOOTH AND FREE REVVING....these are qualities that are essential if u rele want to enjoy riding ur bike fast. and ron is known to be an expert in this field, a genius.......i have heard of him from so many ppl and places , that i dont think i can doubt the credibility of a product he makes. at rs.2400(thats the price i read in the forum) its pretty reasonable.....try buying parts from a bajaj sevice centre and ull noe( i did)
all in all ill say the cdi may not give u a huge jump in performance but i m sure the improvemnts will be VERY noticeable. also it written in the forum that the cdi will have two maps...one for performance and one for milage...thats quite a feature
my actual concern now isnt how good the cdi is, its if we can get ron to make them fr us now
