Hello prateek, done it all by myself, most of the things are simple except coil rewinding with 19 SWG wire. Installed new RR and connected lighting circuit to battery temporarily ( w'out relay), now only proper routing of wires for lighting circuit is left( with relay).Originally posted by prateek2210 View Post@sarab : From where you have got it DC, if you coming on any G2Gs do let me know
Although i am going to test the system's charging rate for some days and also try to solve the issues facing with it because of FI system of the bike.BIKING ??? " A RELIGION "

Waah waah, Lets see when we can meet to discuss this further. My main problem is that I have projector + HID + Angel eye setup , any changes might effect those.Originally posted by SARAB_FI View PostHello prateek, done it all by myself, most of the things are simple except coil rewinding with 19 SWG wire. One noob question.I got the bike rewound and fitted with the RR today. Will running it with the stock headlight do any damage?
I am waiting for the HID kit to arrive. I normally buy accessories from a store near my place and he is a good friend and offers me a discount. He was out of stock today and said that it will take three to four days to arrive.

I put in my HID only when going on long night rides, else I always use a 55/60W halogen...

I dont use it as an Aux, I swap out the Halo with HID. When not it use, the wiring is left as is with all connectors wrapped in insulation tape.Originally posted by rajaselvam_1987 View PostCan you post the pics of your light setup.. Bcz i'm also want to fix a HID as a Aux light don't want to disturb the stock halogen setup..

You can fix the aux lamp on the leg guard, guide the wires from the ballast from beneath the petrol tank to the battery using appropriate fuse. Use an on/off switch (locally found in garages for some Rs.15-20) in between battery and the ballast and place it near handelbar so that you can access it easily.Originally posted by rajaselvam_1987 View PostOh.! but i want to use HID as a Aux any idea ?
P.S- Dont use HID with higher K rating as it will create too much glare when plonked into an aux seal beam.
If you want to fight with some serious fog, go for 3000k.

Guys, I have a RTR160 and my aim for now is to upgrade to 55/60W halogen from stock 35/35W Halogen.
Is 55/60W a noticeable upgrade over the stock 35/35W bulb? I find the stock halogen inadequate (at times). I was planning to go for HID + Projector, but my budget won't permit that right now.
I think I'll have to get the stator rewinded, but will I have to install the Ape RR as well (for installing a 55/60W halogen)? Please clear my doubt(s).
