will the HH current RR doesn't support dc conv?

Its a AC+DC RR unit which can't be used for DC conv as it can't push the amps to battery at full rate.

                • experts if wire from 1 pole touches other pole will it be a problem ?? after winding the wires on all poles are pretty close to each other .

also important thing i wanna ask do i just directly connect the two copper ends from winding to ape or do it like stock where the ends are soldered on metal surface of the plastic/metal coil and then another wire is soldered there that goes to rr .

It will not be a problem as long as the insulation is intact.

Connect both ends to the RR without grounding it to the stator body. Grouding one end is for AC lighting and now u r going to revert it to full DC so no grounding/tapping of coil anywhere.

If u've less turns ur battery will strain on low rpms.

                    • so all i have to do is solder the 2 copper wires to the black and yello wire in the pic and then feed both of them to ape rr grey wires ? does it matter which wire to which or 1 can connect any to any of the grey wire from ape rr ? also the yellow and black wire in stock wiring as shown in pic look pretty thin . is that ok ?

i got ape rr for only 1035 as on packet . no extra charge , same part number .

                      • @ Jeanie thanks alot for your effort to post images here. because images speaks more than written words.
hope you will update remaining images step by step.
                        1) how many time you use for winding this?
                        2) are u doing this alone?

                        ONE QUESTION PLEASE ANSWER ME
I will stay on AC+DC( STOCK) what i need is 55w/60w bulb to install in my CBZ EXTREME 2011.
will only rewinding faces my needs?
or i need to fit ape rr?
Is my stock reflector can hold the heat of 55w/60w?

                        • when going to buy the varnish the guy said no need of it as winding wires already have a coating on them . still i bought this , hope this is the right stuff

@athul - winding can be done in 2-3 days by yourself or in 1 day by the electrician who has done this . yes im doing everything by myself .
ur question on cbz im not sure as i think cbz coil will have ignition coil for spark plug there only unlike in rtr . see the pulsar full dc threads they will be of help .

Not possible unless the new Extreme is different in terms of electricals to the old one, which I think is not.
will only rewinding faces my needs?
No, because the RR of CBZ/Unicorn supplies only the designated power of 40~45 watts to the headlight&Taillight and the rest available power to charging the battery. So even if you rewind the coil the extra current is used to charge the battery and not the headlights.
or i need to fit ape rr?
                            yes

So you have to rewind + change to APE RR to install 55/60

so i need to coil rewind and buy ape rr so going to FULL DC is a better choice

                              Thanks jeanie
