Have you got HID's from Hardeep? What brand are they? Last time i was there he had showed me this Chinese make for 2600 odd. Was not too sure about the quality.

Hey Niranjan,
Did not notice this thread else would have given u some details on that.
1. No idea on front forks and shox
2. As for tire upgrades a 90 front and 120 rear should happily fit without any changes to the swingarm or rims. I was running the same setup
3. Ok, my favorite part.
U CANNOT fit the 220's bore+piston kit. That would involve changing the head as the valve setup and stuff are different. Moreover since the 220 runs a longer stroke u might also end up having lesser compression. Better to avoid. 200's bore+piston is a straight fit. No extensive mods needed. But the piston will hit the head and valves, so u need to drill deeper valve pockets. The low end will be awesome due to a very high increase in compression. Also the clutch will take a beating. Be prepared to replace the clutch every 12K to 15K kms against the normal 20K.
4. HIDs basically are based on how deep ur pockets are. So...
5. Pulsars already are "wonderful" handlers. Why do u wanna wreck that with a mono-shock et al. U will end up screwing the haandling, suspension setup etc. DONT DO IT.
P.S : Are u really sure of the cost of the 200 kit. All u will require is a bore+piston of the 200. The last I bought it it came to the tune of 4000 IIRC.Democracy is when 2 wolves and a sheep meet to decide who is for dinner. Liberty is when the sheep has a gun.

@ Aparajith,
thanks for all that gyaan man
the 11000 INR I had stated included labor also mate. 4k for the piston+bore and the remaining is labor and my mechanics skill and know how i guess
As for the tire, 90 front and 120 rear would be the same tires on the 200 & 220 right? Any idea on how much a both would set me back by?sigpic

If 7,000 is for labor, it is just TOO MUCH. Come on man, even u can do the replacement of the bore+piston. Its just a fixing job. The max should be not more than 1000 even if he is the most skilled mech on this planet. The only thing to note is getting the valve pockets on ur piston which any lathe gauy can do for u!
Yes, they are the same tires on the 200/220. Praful has just changed his tires ask him. Or better still post in the UT:Tires thread.Democracy is when 2 wolves and a sheep meet to decide who is for dinner. Liberty is when the sheep has a gun.

The 90/90-17 Tubless Zapper FS costed me 1400/- and the 120/80-17 Tubeless Zapper Vyde costed me 1700/-.
The front tyre is in a availability crunch throughout the country, you might not get it soon. Btw, why are going for a 90/90 front?_________________________

aah... lot of things happening...
whats the cost of NGK and K&N mate? yeah i know theres a thread for it but dont wanna dig out from all the posts. if its cheap guess i will get it done. you scared me with the mileage though. dunno why i get only 35 now and with NGK, if it dips then am in deep trouble.
copla is in b'lore. i bumped into his orkut profile from the pic he posted.
200 kit is that expensive?!
last year when i checked out and it was bout 3k. and you need to cross-check on your mechanic mate!
tyres... what prafuls got is the best option i say. go for it. cost is spot on.
but am still a bit skeptical bout the rear size. for a 110 i had to bend my swingarm. maybe its coz i played around with the shocks couple of times... well...
post some pics once some work is done. waiting...

HELLLOOO: INDIA OUT Of FUEL BUT I RUN ON SHELL
Heyy Guys,
I'm sorry i dint reply... actually i was so dumb that i dint realise there were three pages of posts for this thread
..
Niranjan: I am from Chennai, but i recently got transferred to Bangalore.
Shadez: the profile u saw was mine, but not the Blue Pulsar in the pic. Mine is BLACK.
I was seriously thinking about putting NGK and K&N because i read that Iridium Spark plugs help ignite a leaner fuel+air mixture easily and after fitting the K&N and without re-jetting, the mixture becomes LEAN. so i thought it wud go hand in hand..
But ur mileage figures are shocking dude... I'm already getting only 35kmpl from 44kmpl suddenly for some reason i dunnno...
The best part is that i use only SHELL SUPER. and still the mileage drop.
ANy of u guys using CASTROL POWER 1 RACING? I am planning to service my bike tomorrow and put this engine oil.Never Argue with an Idiot !!!

The stock tyre offer enough grip dude, going a size higher in the front tyre means flickability will be affected quite a lot.Originally posted by TNiranjanT View PostI felt that up sizing my tires would give me better grip? Sometimes i feel the front tires are too skinny!
The 200 rim though wider than the 180, it can still accomodate the 120 rear, but the profile would be different then....if that acceptable to you...Originally posted by Coplay@180 View PostPraful/ Niranjan/ Shadez,

@praful,
I'm prepared to loose out on flickability man, i do not do too much of that anyway. I'm looking at more bite at the front while braking and also better grip at the rear especially in the monsoons. Have had more than my share of fishtails
The rim's need not be changed right? IF it is just a tire replacement then it is coming up next once my current zappers run out. I'm gonna do the rtmc to ooty so probably after that
