  • looks like we have a common enemy for bikers . Anyway I did face many situations like these. Most of the dogs which frequently chases or barks at me learned their lesson.
The solution is: Wear good leather boots and kick them in their face, I guarantee next day they will bend their tail and give way. I know it sounds a little bit rude but someone has to take the lead for a safer road, but make sure you don't kill . Today maybe it chased you, tomorrow it may chase another biker with a lady pillion and its an easier bite for the dog. So make sure you do teach a lesson to the street dogs.

      • LOL. Some of the replies are hilarious.
By the way, I agree with people who have advised a complete halt close to the dog. I experience this a lot too and the best it to slow down as soon as the start charging so that you can halt a few feet away from then. After you stop, they stop being aggressive. The more aggressive ones might need 6-7 seconds to calm down but most usually stop barking a few moments after you've stopped. The key thing is: Don't become nervous or let your body language betray a sense of fear. Thats when animals like dogs and monkeys really charge.
