Is this a good idea?

I have some power 1 left unused(around 600ml). I thought of draining some oil and filling the new oil. As i have almost completed 2k kms on the existing oil. After this process can i use it for another 500 or 1k kms.

Get a new can and replace completely,You can use the existing oil for top ups or for lubing chain,stands etc.

hi i can see traces of oil & dirt on my left fork it appears even after i clean it up & come back after a ride.Does it mean that the fork seal has been damaged & needs replacement? In how much time should we change the fork oils i have changed it last year over 15k kms

Yes , oil seal on the fork is gone . Replace it .
Put bike off stands , grip the handle , pull in the front brake lever and jump harddd on it , using your body weight . Watch the front forks . If the movement is too-easy compression ... bottoming-out ... thud sound .. noisy(screechy sound) or too hard to compress .. doesn't compress at all .. OR .. if the return (uncompress) is jerky ... very slow ... sudden uncompress at once ... Replace the oil . If everything is smooth and nice and easy it's good .

getting 55kmpl milage in city riding or highway mate?

1350 kms on d clock now......... ... she turned 1 month yesterday.... n saturday we had a 350 kms ride to n from MYSORE from Bangalore..... It was really awesome..... Till 1000kms on the clock I had her under 55kmph.... Aftr she crossed 1000kms mark I started steppin on the gas a lil.... I gradually took her to 60kmph+ and on a few occassions (for a few soconds) took her to 75kmph....but overall kept her below 5000 rpm range..... At the end of it I got a mileage of 50kmpl which I was satisfied with considering I had ripped the bike for the first time on some occassions............. now I really need to change the eng oil..... Gearbox is really smooth now............

Also, I was really impressed by the way she takes off after 60kmph.... Plus wid a pillion.....

It was almost 70% highway n moderate traffic city riding n 30% really high traffic city riding..............

so if we rip with in 60kmph we will get 50-55kmpl thats not bad for a 150cc bike. I heard that it suits for 6ft tall n lean guys. i am alittle more fatty 95KG is it suits for me? height about 174cm . I love pulsar and avenger due to milage issue i cant take avenger and due to back pain problems told by my friends (more than 4 years with pulsar) now not interested to take pulsar.

paid 5000rs and booked New Extreme Black with back disc.

Guess fork oil need replacement every 10000kms,not sure,My friends hunk had same problem before and got the oil seals changed and oil changed yesterday,now the forks are smooth and no screeching sounds. The oil seal is nearly 100rs.

My HH CBZ X-treme 2011

Purchased this bike by selling old splendor 2000 which ran for 67000+ km at Ernakulam.Rode 150+ km only till now . Even though this is my 6th bike ,this is the first 5 gear bike to use.so little time is needed to adj. to this one down and 2-5 up method.

My height is only 5'4'' so the height of bike 1145 is little problem. Riding once started is fine.Gears are a bit tight, from 4-5 false neutral type came 2-3 times . the clutch was little loose so tightened it, now gears also have little better feel.

Lighting is good, tested on local roads only.Reflector is doing it's work fine.

Idle RPM tends to increase when hot .so adjusted it to1500 when hot (anti clockwise rotation of knob of the carb.) so cold RPM is 1000+ only but no problem starting in the mornings,even though it is rainy season in Kerala now .

Now about mileage very happy to get above 60 km/ltr.as speed is limited to<50km.

Now I am retired from service . so only some long trips like once in a month ekm -bangalore 565 km.once in awhile I take to ghats like ekm- madurai, ekm - kodaikanal, ekm or bangalore to kollur-Mukambi, Sringeri- Horanadu- kateel- subramanya-sulia and Puttaparthi in A.P.state.

Total riding experience more than 4-lakh km. by bike and car, in all four southern states. Now in the planning to go to Shridi in Maharashtra once.

hey thanks for the info man.....i think m goin to try motul 10w40 EO this time...n another thing...m goin for mineral oil now as my bike has done just 1800 kms....cauz i ve heard that its not good to use a semi synthetic or synthetic oil in a new engine....u got any info regarding that?

Motul 3000 4T plus 10w30 / 20w40 .. good mineral oils . Good idea to stick to pure mineral-oil until 10k kms atleast . Change your oil at every 1.5k - 2k kms max and drain the old oil hot . Like you I too didn't like the HH 10w30(bpcl) oil .. hot & harsh engine... so I am running on motul 3000 4T plus 20w40 now .. very happy with it this whole summer . Will change to gulf pride 10w30 in winter since I got a few bottles of it left over .
