It is. Not really suited for CBZ Extreme.Ok i'll return it and go for shell AX7.Originally posted by Pinaki View PostValvoline has adopted this practice of selling motor oils without printing grades on the pack/bottle anywhere . I was bewildered when I saw it first

Bro, I have never changed the front tyre since I bought the Hunk, which is Nov, 08! Anyway, I decided to change the rear tyre, and i did by replacing it with a 130/80 MRF Zapper. It looks like a monster. Have been using it since one and a half year now, and didn't face a single problem! Cheers..Originally posted by kaka View PostWhich set is better for a cbz extreme ?
Front - Michelin M45 or MRF Zapper FM
Rear - Michelin Street Sirac or MRF Zapper C or Zapper Q

Posting here and in Universal threads - Tyres section ..
MRF Front tyres - MRF Tyres
Rear tyres - MRF Tyres
I think the M45 for the front and Street Sirac or Zapper C would be a very good combination.
What do you guys think ?
P.S - Never used Michelin though, so don't wanna comment. I'd go for Michelin but 130 wasn't available..

Hahah,Why you want a 130 in rear just for looks? I am sure that it had reduced the bikes mileage, initial and more.Originally posted by sunny_rox4ever View PostBro, I have never changed the front tyre since I bought the Hunk, which is Nov, 08! Had a 2 hour night ride yesterday. Good god.. lighting was near useless. with the high beam focused skyward, i was riding all the way in low beam @ 40-50..
I desperately need better lighting. Experts, give me 2 answers..
1. How to focus the main beam..?
2. What can be done for better illumination (other than hid)..?
PS :- Please dont tell me to search the thread or refer lighting thread. My PC is down and am posting from my humble java phone..MOTORCYCLING IS AS MUCH ART AS IT IS SCIENCE

You can adjust the focusing screw(below head light).Originally posted by sooraj_vs View PostHad a 2 hour night ride yesterday. Good god.. lighting was near useless. with the high beam focused skyward, i was riding all the way in low beam @ 40-50..

Try Philips Premium as a first step.
Philips Lighting India - Premium
If not, you may have to go for Aux lights or HIDs or Work on the coil and go for a 60/55W

I do have 2 55/60W H4 Philips bulbs in stock, which came with my ALTO. So are you saying that I need to re-work the coil to install one of them..?Originally posted by paray2x View PostWhat bulbs does your bike come with ?

Yes, the stock setup will not be enough to power a 60/55W setup.Originally posted by sooraj_vs View PostI do have 2 55/60W H4 Philips bulbs in stock, which came with my ALTO. So are you saying that I need to re-work the coil to install one of them..?

Get the Philips Premium 35W/35W and try as a first step.
Is your bike full DC ? Even if it is, you may need a battery upgrade which again will need a coil upgrade for charging.

There is a focus adjusting screw ,Not sure where is it located in CB-Z,In karizma its situated on the back of the headlight.A brass colored screw.look for it,and adjust beam.or take it to svc.Originally posted by sooraj_vs View PostHad a 2 hour night ride yesterday. Not sure how it works or any problems. You cant use a 55/60 in CBZ.Read some where that coil rewinding will reduce power and its not a safe process.
Stock is 35/35W Bulb.Originally posted by paray2x View PostWhat bulbs does your bike come with ?Karizma Parts Manual - https://picasaweb.google.com/1010125...rizmaCatalogue

Question:Can i put 55/60 bulb in hunk using relay or any other methods!
Originally posted by pankajshirke View PostWith Relay?
Once in my splendor+ 7 years back, I tried to put 60/55 watts bulb by putting a relay. The local mechanics call it as "cutout"
In 2 days itself the bulb was fused, its rr unit and the cutout was burnt(I was able to smell the burnt wires connected to the rr unit). It was a very costly affair to again switch to stock electricals
So a relay on Hero Honda bikes is not of any use
In Hero Honda models,Only Karizma and Ambition are bikes which have AC+DC setup hence you can put 60/55 watts bulb and a battery of slight high amp rating in case of 100/90 watts bulb
In Hunk,if you put a 60/55 watts bulb, you have to rev your bike till 3500 rpm but it is not possible. Also lot of fuel wastage plus too much load on alternator and the rr unit.
Its RR unit of hunk is definately of high capacity hence no problem of changing rr unit
Also you can do one thing
Just check whether Avenger 180 stator coil is identical with Hunk or not.
If both are identical, then you can surely put avenger coil in Hunk or similar bike.
Currently Avenger 180 coil can be put in Pulsar 150,P-180 directly
I dont know other than these two bikes where does the avenger coil fits properly. You have to try and find out.
My suggestion is to remove the stator coil from magneto of Hunk and check it with Avenger 180 coil.
If it doesnt match then only one option is to convert your bike in DC.Coil rewinding doesnt work properly hence not recommendedLast edited by Aneesh@4GHz; 08-13-2011, 01:27 PM.Karizma Parts Manual - https://picasaweb.google.com/1010125...rizmaCatalogue

does it mean, 14.21 HP is only achieved when the RPM is 8500....14.21 HP (10.4 kW ) @ 8500 RPM
means that power wont be available until it reach to that RPM?Best ever ride: Dhaka-Cox's Bazar-Bandarban-Cox's Bazar-Dhaka 1500Kms.
Dhaka - Sylhet 600Kms.
