    • RX-Z --- Just Bought

      Hi

Just bought this bike RX-Z yesterday. i was initially decided on Pulsar135LS but a friend (also RX100 rider) told me about this RX-Z ,though 10 yrs old its in great condition. He insisted me to take a test drive. i took a 500 mtr test ride and was sold, advanced the sellar Rs.700(all i had at in my pocket) and booked it . the pickup( ??? dont know exact jargon) is awesome.took no time to go till 70. Finally got it for 16K + 1.5K(registration & insurance ). rear tyre is practically threadless so that'll take another 1K odd i suppose.

NOW . THIS IS MY FIRST BIKE ,i DONT KNOW A DAMN THING ABOUT BIKE's proper maintenance . i dont even know what 2T oil i should use. so i need your tips

Anyway uploading only one picture for now. will take more shots later and post it. and please guide me towards proper maintenance.

if you talking about Yamalube 2T Oil, then its very good I have been using it since last 3yrs now, and believe me you will find the difference.... so go ahead and get hold of it.

get yourself KINETIC GENUINE 2T OIL (though for kinetic but it's good) and it's manufactured and marketed by shell india pvt. ltd.

i m using it and it's givin a good response (though i m testing all 2t oils available in market on my rx 100 ). And pls don't opt for mak (bp),it's rubbish. It feels like it's manufactured for sake of 2 stroke engines.

              • Hi Guys,
I am own Yamaha RX-100 1994 make. I am the 3rd owner and the bike is in a good condition. I have recently put Iridium spark plug but i did not notice much of a difference in terms of pick up and average (27-30).
Previously i had a chetak (sold), pulsar KS (black - sold), pulsar KS (blue - sold). From the time i started riding the RX, i just cannot get along with other bikes. I like to open the throttle at most of the times. I just love this 2S. Sadly due to emission norms their production was stopped, otherwise no other bike would have matched upto it.
I am planning for installing disc brakes (pulsar) as i heard they are direct fit. Also i would like to know how can i increase the fuel efficiency with the stock setting of the bike.
Ride Hard !!! Ride Safe!!! Enjoy every moment on your machine !!! Cheers....

we have four RX100 in our group , all stock with minor cosmetic change , and all of them easily give above 35 KMPL FE when rode in normal busy streets . once we toured a 600KM ride and FE hovered around 40 KMPL. so maybe your riding style is affecting milage.

P.S. i am new & noob in biking , just sharing my experience.

                    Hello people,

Nice to read about your experience with 2 strokes. I am planning to buy a bike and test rode many bikes (apache, GS and Pulsar).. but still my heart says go for an RX 135.. Really love the light weight flickable beast.

I want to know what is a good price to pay for a say 2002 Yamaha RX 135 5 speed?

Any good dealers around bangalore who can be trusted? what all to check in it before I buy it?
