You converted the 100 to a 5speed ? I guess you have replaced the block alongwith the head, carb and tranny obviously ?

I suggest you do the running-in with the catcon, if you are not doing so already. Its more restrictive and I found my engine settled in really well after I used the catcon. You can try the pipe after running-in.

New bore-piston kit during running in will mean a lot of heat- I think its not a problem. Still just check the wheels are moving freely and that the brake is not binding - if there is a problem here it will mean the engine has to work more = more heat. I experienced overheating problems for a few days before I realised that the brake friction was the problem.

will post some pics for sure but to be true nothing much in pics as the bike looks all the same.. hehehe

and regarding the catcon i will have to check cause for that i will have to get the whole exaust thingi. yes i have converted the whole thing. apart from the cllutch. the bike is running real cold. but the exaust is piping hot i am sure this week end on the BQ g2g we can use my bikes exaust as a gril.

wheels are all fine would be going for a disk brake after this runnin is finished.

i have done almost 50 Km as of now. will be doing more as i get time.

Owned a beautiful 1987 made in Japan RX-100 for more than a decade.
Started my two wheelers passion on this beautiful beast.
She was one of the moats desired bikes when I started biking. In her league there were some other marvels like Shogun from Suziki.

Those days the petrol was priced at INR 32.00 in Mumbai.
It was leaded petrol that we use to get and the best for these 2-st machines.

I was in 12th when I started biking and use to take my babe to college. It was then when I learnt how to wheelie a machine.

She taught me a lot of characteristics of biking. Have clocke 115 kph on the beauty. Truly an amazing machine to own.

Zero maintenance just give her regular services keep the 2-t oil tank filed.

She was stock for her 8 years and then I wanted her to be upgraded.

Blocks were slightly shaved for more power.

                  Got a custom expansion chamber.

                  Upgraded CDI to RDD CDI.

                  Changes sprocket to RX-135’s.

Tyres 2.75 front and 3.00 at rear.

Some Malaysian Gas filled Shocks at rear.

                  Carbs changed to RX-135’s carb.

                  Stock Rims.

                  No Disk.

Unfortunately had to sell the beauty last week. Was having tears filled eyes when I handed her to a stranger.

Was not able to use her regularly and this gave her some problems as she use to be parked for weeks. Have two more bikes use CT-100 for commuting and one more 1991 RX-100 that’s used by my dad.

I did not want such a marvelous piece of art to vanish into gravel and had to take this harsh decision.

But her memories are carved in my heart for ever.
Speed Thrills Only if U have the skills... Wear Helmets.. & Dont mess with big dad...

                    RX.. cc and bhp

                    Hi All,

Can anybody confirm the CC and the power rating in bhp of the stock RX bikes. I did not come across this comparative information anywhere (please direct me if it is available somewhere online). According to my knowledge:

                    Rx 100: 100 cc, 14 bhp

                    Rx 135 4/5 speed: 135 cc, ~13.5 bhp

                    RXG: 135 cc, 11 bhp

I was told (or did I read it some where) that the RXG was the least powered of the series and and Yamaha set it right with Rx 135.

And also please advise if it is a better option to buy a used RX100 or 135. RX100 are cheaper when compared to 135. I am looking for a good biking experience and nothing else.
Is there any drawback in going for RX100 apart from the fact that it would be much older machine when compared to RX135 or am I losing out on any Biking aspect.

                    Please help.

Only one drawback on the RX100 may be it will be 6v battery compatible(Though you may not find one with 6v) and lesser fuel efficiency figure compared to RX135. I personally would like to buy the RX100 or the RX135 with that fatty exhaust. Both are very smooth.

                                hi all...

finally acquired a rx 135 4 speed. the bike is awesome.

i need some information. i stay in bangalore.

i want to know where can we get the original spares for rx135.

also if somebody can help me with the price and availability of the below products/services

the classic turn indicators (as in the above rx100 pic)
paint job in classic maroon colour
                                new rx135 side badges
                                and front disc brake

for now the priority is to change the indicators only. other things are ok.. but would like to change them as and when i can afford

                                pleas help fellas..
