    Hi,
I was wondering how long it takes to procure the spare parts from the compamy (YIMC). I placed an an order with the dealer for the above mentioned parts on 30/01/2012. I had sent an email to the customer service section regarding the availability of the above mentioned spare parts. Beleive me, I received an email within 24 hours confirming the availability. As it is a long time, I phoned the dealer to enquire if the parts have arrived. I was irritated to learn that the order was placed only on the 16/01/2012. This is the level of customer service I received as the bike is in a local workshop and not in an "authorised service center".

I thought of selling my glady and getting a new one. But I am somehow sentimentally attached to it. Because its there with me in my ups and downs took me wherever I want in emergencies.. its like a close friend of me and I am very much attached to it.. (Sorry for boring story just wanted to express my feelings about my close buddy)..

I have decided not to move on and stick with my buddy.. Now I want your valuable suggestions to give my steed a new look..

    Budget 10 to 15k...

    Some modifications in my mind:

    1. White and Black painting jobs.. (No Stickering work)- Might look nice. Depends on the design of the paintwork.
    2. Yezdi round doom- I have seen a few gladis with it. Looks decent. Might give better throw of light.
    3. 100/90 headlamps- I don think it will make any difference. Might drain ur battery.
    4. some good horns- Well, this one is left to you. I mean depends on your use of the horn. Please don't get those irritating horns though
    5. No Saree guard..- Easiest mod of the lot. Hardly a mod actually. Its just removing a part. Although, it does change the look from behind a bit.
    6. Maintenance free drive chain- What exactly do u mean by this. Sorry for my ignorance.
    7. chain guard like in new gladiator- If the routes you take aren't too dusty, then i would say it is okay. Otherwise the new chain guards are basically cost cutting for companies i think
    8. Already have K&N installed, Have to get a box for that and have to set it up properly. (Right now it is tied with iron string)- Hope you have upjetted the carb properly, after installing the filter.
    9. RD Handle- Good addition after getting the round doom.

Let me know if anyone tried Round doom, 100/90, RD Handle and suggest if it is recommended.

    Waiting eagerly for your suggestions..
    Suggestions in bold.

Okay. Even i have been thinking of visiting ruby electricals from a long time now. But have always been in two minds. I asked about the recharging rate because in the light thread, people recommend a change to ape rectifier. Im sure ill be giving this mod a thought again. Realised yet again today that the headlight on the gladi is like holding a candle at speed. Hit a pothole hard on the highway.

Using the AP-ATX5L. Dint find the need for a 9ah battery since i am running stock electrical setting on the bike.

    Regards,
I know the question was directed to Bala. However, I am using Amaron Pro Bike Rider battery and I am facing no problems. Its a dry cell battery.

It has crossed 24K on the odo now and gave a decent mileage of 52 to 59 based on how gentle was i to the throttle. Basically, i have never crossed 80km/hr in my gladiator since i always used to ride it in chennai traffic. From may 2011, i have gave it to my brother and riding a RE TBTS. Quenched my thirst for long drives in this bike. Since i drive mostly in city and my brother drives a lot for his business, planning to give the TBTS to him and getting my old war hourse back by the end of this month.

In my gladiator, I have changed my battery to Amaron MF one and changed my bike tyres (back one is CEAT GRIPP - reallly good).

If any of you have done some modification to your bike like changing it to DC and having a HID installed in it, having a mech ABS installed, any performance mods etc, let me know. Because i am very much interested in to and planning to do that in my bike.

Iam not sure about it because some ppl even recommend half the capacity of battery.
