I am not too sure wether its vibrations or not, but certainly over 60kmph, i feel that Engine isn't as smooth as it is while riding < 60kmph... I think its at around 4500 rpm.. (nt sure tho..).. and 1 more thing.. isnt it that if you drive on top gear (w/o pillion) at 60kmph..u'll be always on the same RPM ? and also is the pressure listed in the manual is the optimum tyre pressure 1 shud have ?SAVE TIME....SEE IT MY WAY

as per me.. the vibrations increase when you cross the 60KMPH mark.. and some how this is common with all bikes in India...(I have observed same with RTR, Unicorn and pulsar)
But the vibrations are not very pronounced.. but certainly a difference from <60KMPH

Humm....its not necessary...depends on terrine and rider too...Originally posted by avneetrekhi20 View Postand 1 more thing.. isnt it that if you drive on top gear (w/o pillion) at 60kmph..u'll be always on the same RPM ? and also is the pressure listed in the manual is the optimum tyre pressure 1 shud have ?
might be the 'vibration' thing is mid Torque, which comes between 4500 to 6000 rpm....Originally posted by leadpb View Postas per me.. the vibrations increase when you cross the 60KMPH mark.. and some how this is common with all bikes in India...(I have observed same with RTR, Unicorn and pulsar)

and in FZ its the peak Rpm to generate the torque...
and bike feels torquey not vibey.....

yeah, its torquey... not vibes. Vibes do creep in around 6500 RPM and after 70kmph for me... and that too only if I am accelerating. Else, the only thing that would be bothering me is the wind and the drag felt on my jerkin after 80kmph.

somehow I would still say it is the vibration...I understand the torque part.. but even if you try to maintain constant speed at 60KMPH and 58KMPH.. you will know the difference.. thats as per me...
could this be because of the Enginer Oil also ??
and about wind drag...some how I feel my bike has begun to wobble a bit more...and at even less speed...around 70-75 KMPH...

a rule of thumb...Originally posted by avneetrekhi20 View PostWell.. that might be true, but how do i differentiate??
if vibration feels in whole body of bike....then its vibes,
else if it feels only at rider seat (actually below the rider seat )
then its Torque...
but i wish any expert senior member could shade some light on it....
btw...chk this image of FZ with rtr mirrors
