it didn't work..Originally posted by avneetrekhi20 View PostHi Guys,
As we ve discussed this time and again that our so called Digiometer gives us incorrect reading more often then not and tells whatever it likes as per its mood.. theres something that can be done..
Acc to Yamaha Riders showroom mechanic in Pune, the problem arises since while refueling, fuel is poured in with tremendous intensity, as a result the float doent always perform perfectly. So he has adviced me to almost empty the fuel level (to make it say 250 - 300 ml fuel), then refuel and give it a try..
Doesnt looks too convincing to me,.. what say??
i tried it once....the meter is Digital Fool Meter not Fuel Meter.

do a tank full to tank full mileage checkOriginally posted by Binoy View Posti checked my bike from reserve to reserve... that means filled the tank where the petrol is in main... and set the trip meter to zero when the bike reaches the reserve... then i fill it with exactly one litre in it... and checked the distance by again reaching the reserve...
But there will be so much difference in the mileage by driving it in 4-5rpm and 6-7rpm and above 7rpm???
looks wierd...

its thousand time better then R To R method,Originally posted by avneetrekhi20 View Post..But why do u think that tank full to tank full method is better than reserve to reserve 1? Any facts that we dn know?
b'coz if you had a full tank you rides on different condition, different terrines and at different speeds..
it really works to get the actual mileage of bike..

the actual fuel consumption is measured by Full Tank method,Originally posted by avneetrekhi20 View PostDn get that point mate.. Cud you please elaborate?
it need 75% city and 25% highway riding,
but its not possible for everyone,
but still we can believe on its results..
commonly we fill 2-3 ltr fuel rides straight for some time and calculates the average consumption...
it gives only some nearby figures,
buddy chk this linkOriginally posted by Binoy View PostGuys anybody has done paint jobs or any other modifications on the FZ16... I heard some has yellow and white paints to FZ... Seems to be cool...

The same can be done for R to R method. The only problem over R to R is that it depends on when you think you have hit the reserve.Originally posted by Anjit_Sharma View Postthe actual fuel consumption is measured by Full Tank method,

I have calculated both ways.. and it comes out to be the same.. around 35-36 KMPL.

Hell man, I never got 45+. I have been using speed and gives a bit mileage compared to normal fuel. My avg speed of riding would be in between 60-80 Kmph.Originally posted by Anjit_Sharma View Posthumm i am getting 50+

When I maintain 50-60, I got around 44 KMPL, thats the max...

it depends on your riding how much you get,
