I took the Fuzzy for a ride over the weekend.. some 450 KMs on a single day. The whole ride I did, I maintained a speed above 80KMPH, and for a section constant 100KMPH for some 90 odd kms. Things I noticed

1. The sound of engine changes if you riding for sometime > 80KMPH
2. The bike is still stable and aware of the road at 100 KMPH continuously.
3. The mileage was a dismissal 32 KMPL. 294 KMs and I had drained out 9 Ls. For an 11 ltr tank!! I was in the middle of no where and was having jitters as was dark already.
4. Fuzzy is amazing on curves, though when it is doing an uphill road it requires a little patience (This I had read on the very first review also, don't rem which magazine)
5. The riding hasn't given me any back aches or stuff. But I do have a sore bum!! Saturday morning to now I have done some 600 odd KMs.

BTW: I took a ride from Bangalore to Yelagiri and Kovlur via NH46. The road were awesome both in day and night.

Other things I have begun to notice are, the engine gets overly heated in city riding. I did some 100 Kms yesterday and the engine was like real real hot. Though the riding was also pretty aggressive. The same can be said about it when riding in scorching sun.

Throttle response!! somehow the bike is not much responsive. 3rd gear and below 20, it takes like ages to reach 30.

Can anyone help me for the above two problems. (and also about the mileage)!! Bike has done some 5250 Kms.

FZ refused to start

Last saturday I went to my friends house for a mini party wid my wife and kid ...we stayed there for almost 3-4 hours. My house is around 4-5 km from my friends house, while returning at 9.30 pm in the evening, in the way I felt that my horn sound is lill week. I thought it was my hearing mistake but again I blow the sound but it was really week even my headlight became weaker when I blew the horn and after some time I felt it went off. Immediatly i switched off my headlights and then tried now the sound was lill higher but not up to the mark then i stopped my vehicle at railway crossing just near where thease problem arised. Then I tried to start my bike but was really surprised and scared to see that bike refused to start and the horn also but headlight was on but like a lill candle. That time i was really disoppinted and schoked that, what happened to my bike ? I really missed cick start 1st time in my life. I searched some mechanic but disappointed at 10 pm I cud not find anybody..just after 15 min I again tried to start my vehicle but surpricingly it started but the baterry was really weak ..I swiched of my headlights even in the night I thought atleast I shud drop my family at my place and then go to service centre. Any how I reached my place ..I dropped my family ..till then I didnt shut down my vehicle ..and run away for yamaha service centre which is just 3 km away from my house.
I thought it will be open till 10 pm...but after running some 2-300 mt Fz’s digital console turned off and the engine red light on the head started blincking . Any how my bike took me to 2 km but was runnng and jumping like horse ...and just before 1 km of service centre it went off and refued to start even after DHAKKA MARO . That time I was relly like crying ....then I took my bike PAIDAL(walking)..I was not looking at anybody on the road .feeling really ashamed of my self ..what would be people thinking about me and my brand new FZ. ...any how troubling my hand and leg I reached at the service centre but shocked to see that it was totally closed ..even the guard refused to park my bike...that time 1st time in my life my bike was BOJH to me.I called my friend and told him to send any mechanic where i was ...After some time a mechanic came to me and went through my bike and told me that the baterry has gone and its better to show at the service centre. I parked my bike at my friends place near to YAmaha service center again by walking. Now today morning I went to Yamaha service center wid my bike and then they told me that it could be batterry problem and it will take 2 days to solve it cos they hav to send the battery to the vendor and if its somthing else with the batery of cource they will call.
Now i hav come to my office and awating for the call.

Please reply me if any of you has got this kind of problem or if u hav any idea of problem

One more thing it starts after DHAKKA MARO but again get BANDH after breaking or keeping speed slow and also even if try to put horn button.

No man, havn't encountered any thing like this, but truely this is Horrible..
I am not too sure wether any1 of us has encountered this problem.. but there have been discussion envolving that Engine didn start due to some Battery Issues.. but anyways, do keep us updated...

Well Guys, Ive had enuf..,

It was perfect morning and we decided to go for some Biking..just 65 kms one way..

Ive already discussed about my bike been extra sensitive and getting puncture time and again.. well not surprisingly.. this happened yet again.. while we were about to leave.. again i discovered that the old puncture no more exists and the samall hole is again very much visible.. thankfully i discovered a mechanic just 2 kms from that place and got the damn puncture fixed for the fourth time.. I really dn know whats wrong.. Ive just run 2800 kms and this is frustrating.. I just dn have confidence now on my bike..

Just for all of ur knowledge.. That was 4 puncture again at the same place on rear tyre..

Can any 1 help? My second service is due this saturday.. dn kno how many more will come in coming four days!

Well I haven't faced any such thing on my bike so far. Though it's only a month old & done about 560 kms.

@ akarshak -- Nice to know that prob has finally resolved.. well can u also ask them about my mentioned prob and post it whatever they say about it... That is regarding the Tyre puncture!

your problem is really disgusting man....i cam imagine the trauma you must be facing every time....cos i have also faced but related to diff scenario..I will ask to the service guy's but definitely this problem arise because of tubeless tyres making big holes while getting punctured.

Just gave my beauty a bath. Used a bucket of water and a sachet of clinic-all clear. []
Washed and dried it... the yellow cloth they sell us in petrol bunks is crap- all yellow wool stucks to the wet bike -yuck. I cleaned it again with a banian cloth. It looks nice...
I tried to avoid wetting the chain - not possible. Should I get a motul chain spray and use it? It costs heavy - 480 Rs and they say it lasts for 6 to 7 times. Its damn costly!! Any alternatives?

The FZ variant (FZ-S) launch is today. You'll read all about it very soon. No mechanical changes, but it looks very very stylish. Much more complete than the standard FZ.

is it launching in india??
