Hello Guys!

I'll be taking my beast for second service day after.

1 Already have few issues which are -
2 Vibrations over 60kmph and at 4500 rpm
3 Sounds like Pulsar
4 Rear Tyre getting puncture frm same place time and agn (4 times in 3 mnths)

Any thing else to take care off.. apart frm the specific problems? What are they guys xpected to do in second service?

Care to explain this 'problem'? I did not get it..

FYI.. I had a P150 2003 model (round headlight)... and as f now i feel that my FZ shouts as much as my old bike did!

Got my Second Service done

today i got my second service date...due to my accident couldn't complete 3000kms...
so posting an ownership experience

Kms Clocked- 2682
Fuel Consumed- 53 ltrs (still have approx. 3-4 ltrs in tank)
Fuel Efficiency- approx. 53.64 (kms/ 50)(I ride 70 kms highway and 35 kms city daily)
top speed achieved-122 kmph on speedo (today ,just before the service)
running Cost (except fuel and Servicing charge)-
1.Stickering- 180 rs. for headlamp, Exhaust muffler,Number plate and Swing arm,
2. handlebar Alignment- 50 rs.
3. Rear Wheel Puncture- 50 rs.(i bought a tubeless puncture repair kit now for 255 rs.)
4. Teflon Coat- 450 rs for two times in a year.
so total cost is Only 730 bucks
Problem Faced-
1. once bike refused to start, but soon i got I am running in reserve and Fuel knob is in On position .
2.Rear wheel felt like wobbling and floating but matter solved after 40 Psi Air,
3. bike has poor pick up in 30-80 kmph range , but doesn't matter I love the sound of exhaust @ 100+ speed
4. rear brake was little loose ,so got rid of it on my own,
5. gear Shift felt a bit tight,
6. Horn Sound is really disappointing (but i don't want to burn money on it)
so i got no such big problem yet...

After Servicing Gear Shift is butter smooth, Sound is great, rear wheel is feeling normal now, handlebar is now back in original condition,
Horn Sound is tuned ,now a bit louder,

3rd Service in near

I have cloaked 5750 kms on My fz purchased in 26thg Nov.
Tried everything from stunts to touring Agra and Dehradun from Delhi and each time it asks for more.
Touched 115 with pillion rider on many occasions.

Plus Points:-
1.Superb mid range torque.

2.Awesome handling makes me attempt amazing turns and try the weight transfer n wheelie. The handling is so good that it makes any amateur feel like a pro within days.

3.Superb street presence (during the initial days I got used to answer on every red light the cost and the mileage of the bike to the other bikers).

4.Mileage never got lower than 35(even when it was thrashed upto 115 in greater noida expressway).

5.Yamaha-Pro Service located at Delhi provides amazing service experience.

6.Superb Braking(although it's a problem as others don't have it leaving you vulnerable to be hit from behind as you get used to using its superb braking.


Problem's Faced:-
1.Fuel indicator which is defective in my case and starts blinking for refuelling even with 4-5 litres of oil left.(will get it replaced in 3rd service)

2.Gearshift is not smooth even after mentioning it in both the services.

3.Engine sound is not so pleasant beyond 58+.

4.Horn is really a big disappointment.

5.Mileage never went beyond 45 (I never ride it at economy zone though).

6.Sponge Quality is very very poor and it starts paining after an hour.

7.Not a Highway Bike due to uncomfortable seat.

8.Sisters and mothers can't sit in one-sided posture (I knew it before purchasing the Bike but it still feels bad).

9.RTR FI is bettetr than this bike in all aspects other than looks and lifetime.

I too am getting the vibrations at 4500 rpm irrespective of the speed or the gear. surprisingly these disappear when i ride with a pillion rider.

Also i rode uptil lonavla around 100 km from mumbai and back. while coming back i had a friend weighing almost 95 kgs riding pillion with me for a short distance. while riding, so guy managed to jump in the middle of the road from the sides of the road and this had me braking suddenly with the whole weight going on the front. Ever since then the front suspension feels stiff with feedback being really bad on even flat roads. the fz smooth ride feel has gone at least for the rider. The service center guy tightened the fork joints near the handle bar saying it was a loose fork. However the problem hasnt been solved. Guys, Please suggest what could be the problem and the possible solution? Would i need to change the fork springs, bearings or the whole fork or may be its a fork oil issue?

guys i wanna buy a Tubeless Puncture kit here in DELHI .....frm where to get 1.....which 1 is the best and how much it costs?

my FZ often shuts down at the middle of the road when i try running at low speed and sounds like no petrol is there..........n i have to restart it again

2nd i feel like there is a puncture in the rear tyre or there is an aligment prob which is not the case the bike just wobbles dunno why?

Got my bike's first free service done yesterday, no problems as of now, but I think the service guy has tuned it a bit too lean, so will have to get it retuned today, from Harsha. A couple of pics of my bike.

Well are u speakn of FZ??? 53.64km/lt is out f world man! This is something Yamaha never ever claimed i feel.. Vats ur riding style mate?

when i told yamaha dealer i am getting arnd 50 mileage he was like "sir ka feedback le lo"

dude get some better paint job done, you can see some in creativity threads.

it was bent from right side by 2 cms after my accident,
this work is done at an outside mech' shop in SC they don't have enough 'weapons' to do this
