wow !!! you smoked a TB ... Amazing , i do know of the stretch as it is my daily route to college ... you can hit triple digits on that one , especially with the road being re-laid and everything . just waiting for my FZ to finish run-in

even i hav been having the same problem of downshifting ,i stop at the signal and try to come fron 4 to 1 ,it does not shift down,
svc guy just adj the clutch freeplay and says its ok,
i tried to open the airbox to check ,but the screw does not budge ,screwdriver keeps turning , are u plp using different one frm the given toolkit ,same with side panel

hey man ... i don't think the clutch freeplay has anything to do with it because if that was the case then you should have the problem foe the upshifts as well ( i assume you don't ) because i'm facing the exact same problem you're facing , so i think it has something to do with the gear lever rather than the clutch ... I plan on getting it checked soon .

shift quality changes with freeplay adj .i hav tried all combinations , i have it loose for riding in traffic , i will check the oil level , it has been more than 6 months since i bought it

hi Guys good news for the "rain peedhet janta" yam has made available wider n longer mudguards, I saw one at my service center yesterday... was one of the first to see it, and they did not have any clue on how to install it so did't get it done. costs 150 bucks.

it blends pretty well with the looks of the bike thats for sure, no one will call it as an addon.

hi man ...anymore info on that bro, I already had posted about the requirement of the mudguard , wondering if i could install one on my bike ... as I ride in slushy conditions most of the time and was in real need of one , this would be really helpful ... is it available in all SVC's ?

also , I dropped my bike off for it's first service and I heard a bit of info , another person was complaining about the mileage of the bike , saying it was giving 30kmpl at speeds of 60 odd , so the guy at the SVC says that he has strict orders from Yamaha not to touch the carb of the bikes for the first 6 months ... anybody else heard this ???

it can be installed on any bike i guess in FZ Series... and since it comes from yamaha directly it should be available everywhere in a few days. but it looks integrated with the bike thats for sure.

Great news buddy...now i can get a mudguard without having to worry about the damage to bike if i had got it done from some mechanic...phew

About the carb issue...yamaha indeed told the SVC guys not to touch it.....dont know whats the logic behind it.....beats me

yeah that's exactly what i was thinking ... the mudguard was made mandatory for the newer FZ's it was being installed free of cost , but the mech there said they still haven't got it for the older bikes ... dunno why that is though
