          • Touch-up paint

            Hi Guys!
Came across this touch up spray paint ad in the newspaper long back..
I just called the outlet in Bangalore, & they had the red shades for the FZ & R15 (I didn't ask for other colours, or other bikes). Its 100 bucks for a bottle. He told its some 130gms, though I'm not sure how much that is.
& as you can see in the ad, they seem to have outlets in all big cities.

            • FZ Modification

              Hi Guys,

Its been 6 months with my FZ and now i am looking for some modifications (in design/color scheme only).

I want to start from rear.. I was very impressed with some 1 having painted the rear portion (immediately below the seat) with some number (23 or so.. cant remember)... however.. not able to find the pic. Please post pics of that modification... also if some other mod can be done.. plz post pics..(Dn want to spend too much however.. )...

Lookn forward to ur response.. Tc.. Happy Biking!

As I told you in the R15 thread, it is a good product. Pity the dealership stopped in Hyderabad. Anyways, here is the site, there is a video&all shades are listed too. You can get respective contacts also.

                  • fz 16 performance parts

went to the r15 championship wid my bro.
                    There i met yamaha japan ceo & daytona's ceo(Amano)
According to themthe parts will be here by sept. and these parts will increase performance upto 30% (i.e.fz16 with performance parts will be producing 16-17hp)
however about the price Amano said that they will be priced by yam india and at a huge premium.
The performance parts are very cool as i saw a test run being performed there (looked like fz would kick stock r15's b*%t.

can give u more info. on the parts if u all want...

Kerosene shouldn't be used too often, just once in a while when it is too dirty.
Try using a better quality chain lube like Yamalube which lasts longer&is more water resistant than the other market products.
I use Yamalube dry white type chain spray for my R15 which costs about Rs.1400 a can, but lasts thrice as long as Motul. Check if the same thing is available for FZ also.

                          • My chain has already caught rust..also..the part of sidestand and mainstand..which comes in contact with road..
                            man..
                            this rainy season suxx...
                            also..
lubing chain too often..as i saw the mechanic at ss sprayin the lube with some spray can..and i can easily make out that chain is not lubricated wel..
but we have to clean and lube it..
not that economical...can we use any other lubricant.
i dont trust yamalube much..as i can see my chain gettin rusty at many places..can ne one suggest any alernative..??

and wat abt the mudguard for rear tyre??

                            • My Baby beast had her first service today.. Had her teflon coated and fitted them Clear led tail lamps and she is looking wow! Sorted the niggling drag i was having from the front Fork. Hmm a very satisfied and proud Yamaha owner today.. And a big thanks to the Service manager Sethu at Orion.
