Guys small query , Yesterday when I went to SVC to get a new fuse for my bike ... the guy over there asked me if I wanted a 15A or a 20A fuse ... Now the stock FZ16 runs a 15A fuse ... so I asked him for that , But would a 20A fuse work better ??? Coz I've already blown two fuses now ...
People ask me , why are you cribbing about the BHP ? to them I say "MORE is never ENOUGH" xbhp.com

Good to hear that you have put SDOriginally posted by s_and_m View PostPSD 140/70 does go pretty close to the tyre hugger (the space between the hugger and tyre surface is so less that you cannot even stick a finger in it), but it doesn't scrape against it. The look changes because the tyre has rounder shoulders (if you can call it that) compared to revz, and so, doesnt look as broad as the stock. I havn't taken the bike to any ghats to check out the change in the handling character, but the rounder shoulders, theoretically, should provide a bigger contact patch on corners than a tyre with sharp shoulders.
. Pirellis are known for their grip. It will stick to the tarmac just like a velcro
. Can you share some pics? BTW how much did it cost you?

Guys my FZ is 14 k old & i tried Motul semi synthetic for the first time at 12.5 k.. The oil is totally worn out now & the engine sound is at its worst. I never got too impressed by SS motolube even when the oil was new. My mechanic suggests me to go for mineral yamalube again to get the refined smoothness. I'm really in confusion now. Should I jump to synthetic oil now ? Which is better, Motu Synthetic or Petronas Synthetic ? How is the performance?

SD should cost you around 3.5K. It completely depends on the dealer. Some dealers may quote you less also.Originally posted by yadav View PostWhere did you get Pirelli Tyre and how much did it costs you ???

My Eclipse-Yamaha FZS
Hello to all Fellow Xbhpian's !! for the past 6months i have been reading through each and every post about FZ on the xbhp.
Finally i booked my new babe on 6th Dec'2010.....got it deliverd on 9thFeb'2011, being an active member of a riding community in Mumbai -Valiant Riderz...we often go for long distance touring once in a month which includes cornering on ghats, night riding etc...
This made me go for the yamaha FZS..which is one hell of a bike when it comes to cornering at the price of 78,100INR (mumbai).
I have recently put a Bixenon HID with projectors and Angel Lights with a Pressure horn !!
Now my Eclips has become an Eye-Catcher for most of the bikers around my locality, even the R15 guys stop to have a look at it.
I sincerely thanks each member of xbhp...for helping me buy FZS. looking forward for the first service on 5th MArch.

I have Broken the entire Stock Headlight assembly while opening from a local mechanic to fit the HID with projectors and angel Eyes on very next day when i bought by bike.Originally posted by Yamaha FZ View Post@Kinshuk : Tried installing the angel eye but the mechanic was not able to open headlight assembly with the help of hot air gun also because the plastic started melting. And secondly engine lights were not installed because there is no space in the sides because of horn. So the only change I made was headlight bulb!
Then i had to get one more headlight and get it open from some other person, who opened it very carefully using a screw driver. but the edges of the headlight gets ****** up. so you do have to glue it back, so that water doesn't enter the headlight assembly during rains !!Last edited by shetty_vikas; 03-03-2011, 11:58 PM.

I read it somewhere that headlight should be kept in oven for about 5 min so that the glue becomes soft and it comes out easily
