Agreed, the road conditions are very bad.Once the rainy seasons are in they will get worse.Originally posted by RAK View PostBut the roads at Sakinaka in Mumbai are so pathetic that for last 8 months of my travelling on this road I cant remember even a single pothole. Every time a new pothole comes from no-where.

Call up/get hold of MRF regional office in Hyderabad. Get a number / address of their authorised retailer and ask them what is the MRP. He will tell you that its around 2400 Rs then tell them that people are selling it for around 3K which is not acceptable. Tell him that you will escalate this issue to higher authority guys in MRF.Originally posted by ABZ View PostI need to change my FZ rear tyre ASAP unfortunately no options available..

I am sure after this they should give you the new tyre as per the MRP. I am telling you now. "Do Not" Buy the tyre from an non-authorised dealer.
As far as SD goes, it is a soft compound tyre and comes in 140/70 and the seat height will be a bit raised. Also I am not sure what will happen to the tyre hugger with this new tyre. Since SD is soft compound it will last for around 12K KMS.

hi all.. I purchased fazer one month back. I have two queries
1) I think reserve mechanism for my bike is not working because at the speedometer, the petrol machine sign is blinking continously for last two days and now the last block(that indicates amount of petrol.. just like signal of antenna) is also gone. I am afraid that I will have to drag the bike in case oil runs out
Note:- My fuel knob is in on position only, not in reserve position.
2) Some time back my ride's tyre got punctured with a metal piece. The SVC people told that the tyre will have to be replaced as they were not able to fix it and they were asking for 2800 Rs for new one. At that time I paid but now I am thinking that whether it would have been covered under insurance..
please help me out...

No issues here with your bike. The Indicator will show the amount of petrol in your tank and does not include the reserve petrol.

I guess insurance doesn't cover tyres. Also no manufacturer will replace it under warranty. Its because of our awesome roads (I mean't the worst roads
) everyone is facing problems with punctures.
please help me out...

try softening the rear suspension or ride with very heavy heavy pillion in undulating road for few hours,Your suspension will be softened,Originally posted by yadav View PostYes Jan 2011

it worked for me..
As your bike is new the suspension needs to be softened, thats why it feels like high.sigpicBOND BETWEEN 2 LEGS & 2 WHEELS.....CAN SURPASS ANY BOUNDARY....

The place I asked for the MRF tyre was an MRF shop and seemed an authorized dealer.Originally posted by deville_56 View Post3.6k here for 130/70 PSD and 2.9k for Revz. 3.7k for Revz is way too high.
I expected the tyre to survive so my friend can get me a tyre from Saudia in a month which is 160/70 or 140/80. my tyre cot 2 CUTS at the side. I mean cuts not punctures, making it difficult to repair n it looses air in 2 daysI'd rather be fast than invisible!!!!!

PSD 140/70 does go pretty close to the tyre hugger (the space between the hugger and tyre surface is so less that you cannot even stick a finger in it), but it doesn't scrape against it. The look changes because the tyre has rounder shoulders (if you can call it that) compared to revz, and so, doesnt look as broad as the stock. I havn't taken the bike to any ghats to check out the change in the handling character, but the rounder shoulders, theoretically, should provide a bigger contact patch on corners than a tyre with sharp shoulders.Originally posted by RAK View PostAs far as SD goes, it is a soft compound tyre and comes in 140/70 and the seat height will be a bit raised.
