and 22% is a decent amount that can change some characteristics of the atmospere where it is present!

I suggest rather than speculating about the nitrogen filled tyre experience over here... we all can have a look at this appropriate thread for queries regarding pros and cons of inflating bike tyres with nitrogen (http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/universa...-nitrogen.html) that should help us clear any doubts regarding the same.

doing a stoppie requires more than just slamming the brakes.... it also needs shifting of weight to the front.....

          • okay. so its NO to nitrogen

on another note, i was cruising at 65-70 when an r15 with a KnN filter with a bulky driver and a bulky pillion tried to provoke me into a race. I knew it would be embarrassing and so held myself and din increase the speed. At bus stops and blind corners after hard braking, and i'd overtake him with ease and get into a lead easily without making an effort for it. That r15 struggles in the low rpms (2 bulky people negated the free flow filter ).
I stopped accelerating at around 70 again and maintained that speeds. within a few seconds the r15 went past like a rocket. Gawd. loved the sound of that exhaust note
but then again, at the next corner, he'd struggle and i'd get past him. once on straight road, he'd vroom past again.... this went on for some 10-15 kms.

            • How would I know that my chain needs cleaning (and not just lubing)? I've had 2 services till now and all they've done is wash the bike and then lubed the chain. I doubt they actually removed the chain, dipped it in diesel or whatever and cleaned it. So what are the symptoms that my chain needs cleaning so that I can specially request them to do so?

the svc will never take out the chain and clean it by traditional method...

as such there is no set parameter on which you can check the cleanliness of the chain just chk for any grime or excessive dirt on your chain...

otherwise you can clean the chain yourself by kerosene or wd40 or zorrik etc....

the teflon coating is not necessary....

instead get a 3m liquid polish and polis it yourself once every two weeks...
and keep her out of the sun....

if you have to keep her in the sun get a cover instead....
