Wow. You sure are prone to weird failures. But nothing permanent was done by the SVC to get rid of this problem? Thats even worse.Originally posted by nand15 View PostCONCLUSION
SVC: overpriced , exorbitant always looking to take you for a ride ...
Knowledgeable mech : best option !
What needed 17k on a bikeOriginally posted by deville_56 View PostASCs are always expensive irrespective of the brand. Once I got job done for 4.7k estimated as 17k by Honda ASC

am planning for a Spiti trip in March on my FZ. Taking care of the spares and keeping the bike in good condition before the ride is priority. Now what i wanted to know how the FZ has performed in the cold weather and what type of problems can be expected and solutions too

It was a Unicorn, with ceased engine running without oil, leaking suspension, and a worn chain set. ASC asked to overhaul the engine, change piston kits, whole suspension, cone set, battery, blah, blah, and an estimate 17k.Originally posted by dude_phenom View PostWhat needed 17k on a bike
Took it to local mech, decarbonized engine, cone set changed, suspension oil seal change, chain set change and some misc jobs (new horn, relay, K&N, new battery installations, and lots of broken body panel fixing) , and bill 4.7k.#RetiredRider

Help!!
Guys my bike is troubling me a lot these days.
Whenever I slow my bike and down shift gear holding clutch before going through speed breaker the bike's engine gets switch off so I have to press the self switch to start it again or else I have to leave the clutch when the bike is in gear to start the engine. Any idea about this? Have anybody experienced the same?

Check the engine idling speed..(Too low)
Check the spark plug gap and valve timing.
Lack of air passage into the engine also may create this problem.

I think while washing water gets into the exhaust of the bike. thats why the bike is not starting. next time make sure that you dont let water get into the exhaust pipe.Originally posted by Nandyfz View PostHi All,
