Just about more than halfway to your mark , i just hit 13000 yesterday . Engine feels brilliant **touchwood** ...

Couldn't get a pic of the mark as i was at about 110+ i guess when i crossed it ... , been pushing the beast to the mark everyday , ride at around 70-80 generally , now the bike is just feeling too good , so the speeds have gone up ... , mileage has dropped to , getting about 37-38kmpl ... all is well for now ... and hopefully will be for sometime to come .

I too felt the same and bought them . It never took more than a crank to start including even after parking 8+ hours in December nights. Never had to use choke till date. Plugs are 20k+ km old and never ever cleaned

Still now mileage is unpredictable. Worse 28 and best 58, most of the times 46-48 kmpl.

Only other than normal replacment till date broken clutch retrurn spring and torsion spring (seperate incidents).

SVC declared chain sprocket dead @15k km and they were unable to rectify the chain clicking noise with the chain lube. Diesel clean + 4T engine oil = chain still running fine after another 10k km. Can still run another 2-3k easily.

                • A good polish for FZ

Does someone know about a decent polish for our bikes(FZ).At present i'm using the Motomax cream polish(pidilite make). It is ok... but i want something better.. Something that will keep the bike shining and also help in not fading away the color. And one more thing... i have got a few scratches on my bike.. does the product which comes on tv saying it can vanish all the scratches in no time, work at all .Something like a marker.Has any one tried it ???

yeah...mileage is really unpredictable.....it varies for me between 34 to 40kmpl....even when all other parameters are almost kept constant.....
                    cant do anything about it....

And the SVC just say that about the chain set to everybody....
the FZ chain set can easily last 20K if taken care of properly....
                    cheers...

only thing that i want more is some more top speed and power in the higher band which can be easily changed by fitting a unicorn's front sprocket as done by nand...

I've been looking for the UNicorn sprocket for quite sometime, even they don't make enough spare to fit in UNis. Didnt get one yet . I badly need one for touring. Last time struggled to keep up with Ninja and P220

New issue. Bike was having pulling issue. The same kind of effect when it hit reserve. So changed mind to use premium petrol to clean the lines. 200-300 km on xtra premium and now back to ordinary and bike is pulling like never before , but at the cost of mileage 36-38 last 2 times in city.

                        • guys, currently riding my fz with a major problem. While in running, engine is knocking like hit to reserve. But tank having enough petrol to run 50km. In Jan, i hav done de-carbonising. From that day onwards problem started. Same while if engine switch off after startng it wont start properly and rpm is not stable. If i give throttle, engine shutting off automatically. Hav informed to svc about this issue and they changed fuel cock, cleaned carb. For next 2 days i didnt faced any problem. But after that again it started.

Anyone pls shed some light in tis..

                          • Hi, Just completed first service, the svc guy was pressuring for SS oil, but I opted for mineral as recommended in this thread. Is it ok? When can I opt for SS oil? Is it possible to use engine oil of our choice during free services?
