Re: Yamaha FZ-16/ FZ-S
The tyre has life left in itOriginally posted by krish2778 View PostIt's all on how well you have used the tire and how much feedback you are getting. If the threads have worn out and and is pretty bald it might not be so bad during normal riding conditions but for sudden braking or wet conditions you are guaranteed a fishtailing. So if the threads are a lil too much bald then get it changed before the monsoons.
Tested it just now. Even asked few Fz owners, they said, the tyre starts loosing grip in around 25-26k kms at normal riding.
Will change after 5k kms.
I feel it will perform well till 5k-6k kms more.Royal Enfield Bullet Standard 350cc 1989, Bajaj Avenger 200-2009, Pulsar 200 NS 2015.

ohkk..Originally posted by deville_56 View PostThe one from original FZ accessories by Yamaha was around 1600, so i took some sandpaper and made my own
. You can get your levers buffed for around 100 bucks at any plating shop and even if you buy new levers, everything will come around 400 only
thanks for the knowledge..
i was talking about the original fz accessory.. the latter idea is much better
Ride safe and have fun.

To check the cable.Originally posted by SpeedyKol View PostFrom which end does it start snapping off? There must be some tell-tale symptoms that show that the cable is about to snap, right?
Take of the rubber flap near the lever as you adjust the free play, check the wire out here and the bare wire on the other end, they should look fine.
In my experience, um, I have never experienced a broken clutch cable.

Re: Yamaha FZ-16/ FZ-S
Minimum tread depth is 2mm . Less than that is illegal to ride . So replace when it goes below 4mm , to be on the safe side .Originally posted by Touseef Ahmed Mohammed View Post... Still how many kms will the tyre run with ease (i mean without loosing its grip) ..

Re: Yamaha FZ-16/ FZ-S
Oh thanx for the Info. I have tested the tyre 3-4 times even on a wet surface, found it to be decent enough.

Yes. Its Better if changed at every 3k kms.Originally posted by Pinak-the stunner View PostHi Riders!
I have a doubt.... Do the Oil Strainer needs to be replaced after every 3k kms?

Thanks Touseef Bhai... Actually Y'day I did the first servicing of my FZ. SVC ppl changed the oil filter which was of Lumax brand. it was much lighter than the one which was fitted earlier. it was 'Purolator' over it.Originally posted by Touseef Ahmed Mohammed View PostYes. I am unsure whether is it a good enough quality!!

. AFAIK it's 2mm depth measured at the most worn part of the tyre . Sorry for late reply .
