I believe electricity bills are accepted as address proofs. If you stay at a rented accomodation, you could request your owner for a recent electricity bill. And which RTO office are you trying to get the tax thing done from?Originally posted by shamanthnv View PostI haven't paid road tax yet, went to pay road tax, but they want address proof, and they don't accept house rent agreement and all. So have to wait till i get some address proof.

Re: Yamaha FZ-16/ FZ-S
This is regarding the tyre bump problem on my Fazer. Pics and info are in the link below.
Went to SVC and they said they can't do anything about it and asked me to go and visit an authorized MRF tyre dealer, and directed me to the nearest one. They also told me to take pictures and mail them to MRF India and MRF rep will contact me.
I went to the nearest authorized MRF Dealer (Amar Tyres) and asked for their opinion. He said that since the KMs clocked are just 4k, there might be a possibility that MRF would consider replacing the tyre. He said that he would have to send the tyre to Kalher for the MRF guys to inspect and they may take 10-15 days. He was ready to send my tyre but unfortunately he didn't have any spare tyre. He has asked me to come back in 2-3 days and get it replaced; also mentioned that if MRF decides to send a replacement, he would take some commission and fitting charges.
He also said that mailing pics to MRF won't solve my problem as they won't pay any heed to it. They need to see the actual tyre.
What do I do? Should I visit any other authorized MRF dealer?Yamaha Fazer [2011]

Since your bike is 2 years old. I doubt whether you will get a replacement or not. But, still try it out.Originally posted by dnyanesh View PostThis is regarding the tyre bump problem on my Fazer. Pics and info are in the link below.

Is it the stock one? If yes, you dont have to run to any dealers. Instead, put a mail directly to MRF. If you have changed the stock tyre, scan the bill, write the dealer's name, place from where you purchased and put a mail to the company.

had this problem been in the warranty time, that would have been different case..
the companies just need one point to get away from problems and reject your claim..
you try it, if anything happens, good for you..
else you would have to replace the tyre on your own..
also try to get this done by that guy from the dealer.. he might help you for his own pocket..
Ride safe and have fun.

Yes. It's the stock tyre. Never changed or tinkered with it.Originally posted by devils_friend View PostSince your bike is 2 years old. I doubt whether you will get a replacement or not. But, still try it out.

MRF's site is useless. Where can I find their mail id?
Actually, the MRF tyre dealer doesn't know that my bike's two years old, he only knows that I've clocked 4k KMS. He is pretty positive that I'll get reimbursement of some sorts.Originally posted by nadz11.ns View Postsince its been over 2 years, they won't help u..

I'm hoping that my claim will be accepted because the SVC guy told that they take such tyres for research, study and find out what went wrong. But it's a long procedure and may take two weeks of time.
On the other hand, I am also worried of being duped. What if, the dealer doesn't send my tyre and calls me after 10 days to say that the claim has been rejected. The chances are less but...one can't say that it won't happen.Yamaha Fazer [2011]

Re: Yamaha FZ-16/ FZ-S
But whats there for you to lose? The tyre is already gone! Give him the tyre and tell him if the claim does not happen he should return your tyre. Check two three dealers before deciding. Anyways there is manufacturing date printed on the tyre, anybody will come to know how old is the tyre. But if there is good amount of tread remaining, as in your case, MRF may consider your case. But the problem is that MRF should get the tyre! and the replacement should come to 'you'.Originally posted by dnyanesh View PostOn the other hand, I am also worried of being duped.
