    well I guess its a good thing ..with increase in numbers yamaha will have to improve their standard of SVC...which I have heard are not the best...also increase in numbers will mean more user experiences and more n more insight into this beautiful beast...

      lol so true.. In my college there are like a million FZs..i actually had to search for 10 mts in the parking lot for my fz because they were so many of them..If i do a 360degree rotation i can see atleast 7 fzs in there..and im talking abt d black fzs nly

        hmmm ... nice to see the popularity of the FZ go up ... well it'll lose it exclusivity , but ....

        hmmm on my FZ (red) I do find that the black portion of the tank fading quickly compared to the red ... but when polished it comes back to the superb shiny finish ...

          just did my first servicing today.......the bike feels nice........the yamaha SVC charged me RS.450 for the oil changes and said they changed the air filters....do u need to change the air filters during 1st serving or just get them cleaned?????

              What oil they used, i mean which company? Can I give them oil from my side if I have to go for some specific oil?

                The FZ is on it's bocomming another Yamaha legend in India. Like the RX in the past.

                Well they clean the air filter element and replace the oil filter element. Changing the Oil filter element at first service is very critcal as small bits of metal get machined of due to minor imprefections in a new engine and these bits may remain in the oil or the element and cause issues with the engine.

                    Guys, I changed my sproket and chain for my FZ even in 8000kms. When i asked Yamaha service technicians , they told me that sproket was gone!!!. Why is it happening? Can anyone suggest me

                        big no... air filter lasts around 15000 kms... they took you for a ride bro... "always refer manuals". If something was wrong with your air filter then its something that was already there in the filter or your bike has a prob... or you messed it up. but i don't think anything goes wrong with it.
                        1st service... E. oil change , E.oil filter change... thats it, rest is adjustment.

                          If its due to a defect, it should be under warranty i suppose, the big question is do you manhandle your bike?

                            FZ 16 Vibrations..

                            Hi Guys , I completed 2 services and 5200 Kms on my bike... I usually go for long drives during weekends which was done this weekend too.. Went to kolar gold mine fields in Karnataka . The roads were pretty bad for around 40 Kms .

                            After the drive , got the tire pressure checked and put in the recommended air of 28/33 Psi . After that I am experiencing a lot of vibrations / shaking of the bike especially at the front forks . Brake performance has also degraded..
                            I got the tire pressure also rechecked and everything it was proper .

                            That could be because of the worn out Brake pads.. but the vibrations.. ?? what could be the problem.. Till now I had a smooth drive...

                                @ Alex: According to manual front tire shud be at 28 but one of SVC guy told me to keep it 25 so that it will not jump too much.
