I know these things happen when we apply brakes on a wet area, But this time No Brakes, No gear change, nothing.. Has anybody come across this problem ?

Is there something I need to be concerned of ?
    nothing to worry....

marble is itself very slippery put some water on it, it become hell

and since it was raining there might be some oil which would have been spilled before,,,,

P.S: i am taking into assumption that your tyre has not worn out...

were you going perfectly straight ?
Ya man, Was completely straight. Infact as soon as I got up, first thing I did was check my bike tyres, they were completely fine. My bike is just 8 months old now.

        Yup.. Your assumption is coorect
My initial guess was that it was all cause of the slippery tires, But You never know what will go wrong with these complex machines :P That's why thought of asking abt it here.
        Just Hoping nothing is wrong..

Utter nonsense!! ....mineral oil does 2500 - 3000kms and SS is also around 2500 - 3000 kms. If you do witness a bit of reduction in performance post 2000 kms, the culprit is usually the dirty air filter and not the oil itself..

See these guys are out there to make a buck or two hence selling ss oil for 450 - 500 + bucks makes them earn more compared to 235 bucks on the motul mineral oil... plus i would not recommend filling in ss right now until your bike does 5000kms atleast... Always remember the oil you put in the engine has a certain amount of life (170 days i think!!) beyond which the oil loses its properties of efficiently lubricating the engine internals and also being a good heat exchanger since, fz isn't a liquid cool engine...

your bike's service manual clearly mentions the no. of kms or the no. of days from the date of purchase within which the bike shoul have an oil change... follow that service timing religiously and you will never face any issues.

                cheers

                • My 2nd Paid service coming up tomorrow. Clocked 21K Kms so far. Have been putting Motul 15W50 SS for last 3 services. Never faced any issues with the oil (even on long trips).

Motul is very hard to find out here in Mumbai....everyone stocks Castrol . Planning for different oil this time. Any suggestions?

Check the condition of your brake pads also. May need replacement.

to clean the chain i use mainly kerosine and a brush after the chain regains its original color from dirty black color wipe of the chain....and lube with yamalube off-road chainspray 350 rs for 450 ml though the print is 575rs i get it from a friend's shop.....

there is no way given to adjust the freeplay of the front brakes... you may have to check the fluid level... there is a small window on the fluid reservoir indicating the min and max level...
