are you constantly lubing your chain every 500 kms or you leave to the svc to lube at every service?? have you changed the sprokets sets along with the chain or just the chain only?? how many kms done on your bike?? that may give the clue behind the chain noise..

the 1st problem thought i am not sure.... but try and get the clutch and accelerator overhauled... i.e. complete clean up from dirt and clogged oil depositions

Booked FZ16 Black and Getting it in a Week

Hi Friends,

I am new to XBhp.

I am very happy and exited that soon I am going to own my dream machine

. I presently own a 2005 model Splendor+.

I always admire Yamaha FZ16 for its looks and power and I had a thought of owning it. But, one thing i really worried was my height. I am 5 feet 2 inch.

It happened to me one day, I went for a small test drive on my friend's FZ-S. Wowwwwwwwwww this is the feeling I got while driving this machine. And absolutely what I felt was this machine is very comfortable for me. Very next day I booked one for myself, mine is FZ16 Black. Before booking I went for couple of more test drives and I found this vehicle got a very good balance and easy to drive. Eagerly waiting for my FZ16..

One doubt, will my height be a problem while riding in congested areas and city traffic? Please guide me...

Good decision bro.FZ's design and balance is best in class you won't have any problem with handling the bike in dense traffic or highway ride.You will enjoy every moment riding it at any road condition.Don't worry about your height just ride safe congrats.

Hey guys at last got my lord of the street MY FZ-S on 5th of ths month...and i am proud to have ths bike ....Thnx guys for helping me earlier to choose this beast..!!!!But now my bike is 7-8 days older and got a problem i it..!!I have attached a pic with ths thread...and as u can see near engine kill switch thrs a design near it....(reversed U and a arrow)...and second the bulp light n all below it..!!In my bike these icons are started to fade...if i try to rub these icons,its slowly fades....!!My frnd got 6 months old fz-s n it nothing happens to his icons..its fine as new....!!Guys plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz help me out i m in gr8 trouble..im always thinking abt it only..and if i go to yamaha showroom will they make it corrct again like b4......??I am bugged up..!!!

DONOT ever park you bike in the sun if you want to keep your bike's pain in showroom condition also apply some wax polish on the paint along with the plastic parts...

use normal wax for the metallic aprts and car dashboard polish for the plastic parts....

i will suggest you to take it to the svc and bring this in the view of yamaha itself... since your bike is just 7-8 days old.... ask them for an explanation for the same and get it replaced....

first talk to the svc if they do not respond as per needed contact yamaha on their toll free number and also drop in a mail to the company along with a pic of your fading parts.....

Hi Sahil,

First of all, don't worry it is not a big issue. It is a machine & it means more than the asthetics. So calm down. As mentioned by Kinshuk, go to the SVC today & show them the faded icons also call up Yamaha if you don't get the support from SVC.
Also make sure that the colors are actually fading, sometimes when we rub, the dirt also blackens the icon or put some scratches on it. Try to wash it gently with mild soap water & see if it is really the paint which is fading.

Checkout the factory shop at Wakadewadi. Servicing is good but costly.

Congrats for the new ride buddy...Actually this fade probs are appears only for bar end weights..yes if we rub that grey colour plastic bar end it can easily vanished

..i experienced this with my bike on the first day itself..but icons fading is new to me..so go to SC and say this problem to them..And i think before delivery of ur bike in showroom they may left ur bike in sunlight without care for long time..

BTW why do I see kicker in all the models?? Is it that Yamaha have started providing them now as a standard accessory??

Yes Kick is now standard in all FZ series models.. or so as to say yamaha has made it compulsory for us to buy.. since they have increased the prices of all the FZ series models..

FZ-16 - Rs.67,000/- Ex. Delhi
FZ-S - Rs.69,000/- Ex. Delhi
FAZER - Rs.74,000/- Ex. Delhi

Almost all the manufacturers have increased the prices for their 150cc. Yamaha also following their way. AFAIK this is their first huge increase in their price since launch of these bikes.
