instead of removing the rear fenderr they could have cut a hole in it above the number plate like a cbr600rr.... thath would have been much better... and the tail light coulbd have been a bunch of red angle eyes on the exhaust itself...Originally posted by harsh8 View Postya ..... but can be improved !Timon: Orange Yamaha FZ16 2009

I didnt knew P150/180's sprocket fits too.. Had to go through such a heap lot of trouble to find another 15T unicorn sprocket for my frnd after i did the mod on my bike & found it pretty decent..Originally posted by deville_56 View PostP150/180 15T sprocket. Unicorn's 15T also fits.
Well, its really the most affordable mod for FZ with noticeable difference in smooth cruising at as compared to stock.. I used the sprocket a lot for touring & then I started missing my low end torque just a bit so switched back to 14T since i had no touring plans.
PS: I never noticed a noticeable difference in mileage on my use of atleast 1500 kms with 15T & same was the case with my friend who got around 40 kmpl max even on highway cruising..
But If its realy 61 kmpl on your bike, then you are one lucky guy
Realy nice mod!! any idea about cost??Originally posted by harsh8 View Post
you wont see any difference if the pic is clicked of the installed sprocket.. looks exactly same as original stockOriginally posted by Stark23 View PostYeah alright that will just make it picture perfect.
Thanks.

i've been running with this 15T setup for close to 5k kms now ... didn't see any variation in mileage ... remained same before and after ... I have put up pics of the entire mod before ... got to dig through a lot of this thread to find it .

Hi,Originally posted by deville_56 View PostP150/180 15T sprocket. Unicorn's 15T also fits.
Did you find any changes like having to ride longer in lower gears to pick up speed or an increase in top end. How's the noise from the chain and quality of the sprockets. Pulsars have a noisy chain drive.
And did you change both the sprockets or just the rear one?
I've read in this thread that some guys have used R15 sprockets.Last edited by danny king; 05-17-2011, 11:23 PM.Your bike is a part of you....
Since Nov 2012: Pulsar 200NS

It tends to, but I don't rev much, shift up fast (even on 14T I used to shift the same).Originally posted by danny king View PostHi,

Chain and rear sprocket is still FZ units. I changed only the inner sprocket.Originally posted by danny king View PostHow's the noise from the chain and quality of the sprockets. Pulsars have a noisy chain drive.

R15 sprocket improves acceleration only (if I remember right

Which petrol to use?
Hi guys
Recently I came across an article which gave info about increasing the mileage
Improve Your Car?s Fuel Efficiency - Yahoo! News
After going through the entire site,I am now confused whether to continue with Xtra Premiun from Indian OIL on my Yamaha Fazer ? Some have said that High octane petrol harms the engine in the long run,is it true?
Which one according to you is the best petrol ..usual IOC,BP,HP or Xtra premium ,SPEED,Power etc ..
