even i had the same problem with the FZ-S. My mechanic replaced the stock airfilter with a normal foam and also cleaned and tuned the carburettor and after that the bike was performing smoothly with no hiccups. I had even done a MUM-GOA ride but no problems whtsoever.Originally posted by danny king View PostHi,
My bike is 19000+ kms old and now has hic-ups while doing between 40 and 60 kmph. While I'm riding between 40 and 60, the engine gives a small jerk every now and then.
I recently replaced the air filter with a new one and the hic-ups started soon after.
Anybody knows why these hic-ups happen and how to rectify the issue?Ride Hard !!! Ride Safe!!! Enjoy every moment on your machine !!! Cheers....

Always change the sprocket along with the new chain and religiously clean the chain and then lube the chain with OKS chain spray or motul chain spray every 500 kms.. The interval between clean ups may decrease if your bike gets exposed to a lot of mud or dusty environment... that should reduce the sound coming from the chain completely..
and no these guys don't clean the clutch or accelerator cable but rather just put lube oil... if the dirt or smug clogs the freeplay of the clutch or accelerator.. the bike may show symptoms like you have mentioned with yours.. although i am not absolutely sure that it IS THE PROBLEM happening with your bike.. but definitely worth a shot... plus i would recommend that you should also replace both the cables if you are still on stock for the last 23,000kms.. won't cost you that much...
cheers

Well, I insufficient light is one.. and it basically kills the overall looks of the beastOriginally posted by RanjithMN View Postand why do you hate the stock set up of only have one side lit up?is it because of only not having enough light?well with hid+proj you can have that issue solved.
Now that you pointed it out.. I realize it could be a major trouble actually.. flash-passing is an important part of my riding style, it would be too bad for the HID on high beam and in my further research I have found that HIDs are not too effective for high beam..Originally posted by RanjithMN View PostWhat i mean by flashing HID was that.If you have 2 proj. with HID that means one hid is on for LOW and the other is for high.that means you have to flash for high beam ,,,which isnt good for HIDs.
I still suggest leaving HIGH beam reflector stock.like i said you will be having 4k HIDS i believe \...so its good to have a HALO.
I was thinking about having 2 HID+projector for low beam.. + 2 halogens for high beam.. now the problem is .. with HID+projector setup.. the reflectors would be all covered.. and halogens wouldn't work well without reflectors..
Do we have projector for Halogens too.. ?? that way each side would have a HID projector and a halogen projector.. We might have to consider the battery impact and wiring issues.. but that's something to worry about at a later stage..

HIDs are good for high beam but not for flashing.Originally posted by digitalD View Post

P220's projectors are for Halogen. Its a wise idea to have a halogen projector for high beam too.maybe be you can use a HID Bi-xen projector for HIGH and LOW in city and have a separate switch for your halogen projector which can be switched on when on highways.so on highway you will have both hid and halo projectors switched on with HI and LOW options and no need to worry abt battery.
this can be done with 2 HID Proj. too.
BTW i can mostly source you HELLA Halogen BIXEN Proj.

Hi fellow xbhpians,
I just fixed the Keiti tank pad on my bike.
I did a little alteration to the sticker. Its actually transparent, I stuck a layer of red radium sticker underneath.
These pics were taken a around 7 pm.Your bike is a part of you....
