  • Thanks for that info @Kinshuk .. I've read your post on HID earlier, its a good base for n00bs like me..

The NK customs I'm talking to is in Mumbai..

@Ranjith One of the reasons I wanted to get the Headlights modded was to get both the lights on while riding it.. I really hate the stock setup of only one side on at a time..

Do you really think having 2 HIDs on at one time would drain the battery.. ? Nikhil from NK customs said, as long as I run my bike for >1 hr during the day, there wouldn't be a problem with HIDs ..

I also wanted to know what you mean by flashing HID for high beam.. thanks for the inputs

          Hi there,
As kinshukh.arya said, they won't give you a new bike. I don't think the svc people would give in that easily. Speak to the manager to get the part replaced. If he does not help, contact Yamaha directly. You can find the number and email address in the Yamaha website.

          • Hi,
My bike is 19000+ kms old and now has hic-ups while doing between 40 and 60 kmph. While I'm riding between 40 and 60, the engine gives a small jerk every now and then.
I recently replaced the air filter with a new one and the hic-ups started soon after.
Anybody knows why these hic-ups happen and how to rectify the issue?

Running 2 HIDs will have a good chance for draining your battery in city.Because in city you are idling and riding at low RPMs a lot.

and why do you hate the stock set up of only have one side lit up?is it because of only not having enough light?well with hid+proj you can have that issue solved.

What i mean by flashing HID was that.If you have 2 proj. with HID that means one hid is on for LOW and the other is for high.that means you have to flash for high beam ,,,which isnt good for HIDs.

I still suggest leaving HIGH beam reflector stock.like i said you will be having 4k HIDS i believe \...so its good to have a HALO.

Not really. It will look good in a weird/different way.Kinda like the S1000RR .My friend has it done on his R15 and its looks good.It dosent stand out either.and its not a lot of sacrifice for performance anyway I like it too.

                  Hi,
the possibilities that i can think of:

                  a) dirty carburetor or AFR ratio not correct..

                  b) 70% torn clutch/accelerator cable... hinders the freeplay and as a result hiccups. if so, simple inexpensive replacement of the cables should take care of this problem.

                  c) chain slack.... although very remote chance for causing this.. but you may have a look at it.

                  cheers,

that is 230 bucks, same as the white one in fz,the rear small part is same only.I recently changed mine to black but waiting for stock rear part in nearest svc.IMO it looks fantastic in black.

Guess I'll have to take it the svc centre again. I will keep an eye on what they do to rectify the problem.
And I checked the chain. It seemed ok. Except a part of it is hard. Doesn't bend fully. It gives a rupp....rupp... kind of sound when that part comes in contact with the sprockets.
