Hi Mates!!!
Logging in back again with another query...............my last post made a lot ofconfusions and simce I was busy at that time with work so now when I am on leave I guess it would be better now to follow u that............my fzs has done 15k and the rear revz is in terrible shape now......
and frankly speaking I am not happy with their performance at all.....the 140/17 MRF Revz stock tyres were prone to punctures and also the wear has been so uneven that the centre of the tread is still gud but sides are gone........also road noise with them is fine but now since they are due for upgrade please suggest something better for my FZS..........SVC Guy in my area told me that 120/17 are gud bet for it but I have seen that and it hampers the look of the bike but do temme if that is gud anyway? also my friend has gone ahead with 140/17 Zapper for his fazer and they do seem fine so how would they go?? and wat all options can i explore?? and is this sidewear common to all fz, fzs and fazer?? another of my friend's is experiencing is same on his less than a year old fz16 with only 5k on odo and my fazer mate also was not happy with revz.......so do help!!

yeah I did go to pacer ... he said he will get it in a week as usualOriginally posted by dude_phenom View PostDid you go to Pacer?
I had been there to drop off my bike for service, dude was asking me if I need to change the oil. I said no. I think they dont have it in 1L bottles, though I dont know what other denominations they'd store it in.
Service chief dude, said he'll change my gear damper to see if my gear shift problems are gone. Lets see. Also I begged him to tighten the chain. I hope this time they do it.
Apart from that the usual rear wheel alignment (I dont know why this is done every time) and chain lubing.
...
dude I told you to watch for unecessary suggestions , here's one of them ... they don't do a thing on that front man ... I checked up . I aligned my wheel at sai and iyengars once and i'm fine with it ... anyway , just make sure he does it in front of you man ... he'll say he did it , but will NOT do it ... they give a rats fart about it dude ...
@deville_56 : mine says to be changed at 10k , maybe difference in manual .. but if it's available will change it at 10k ... 210 or 230 isn't much for a 10k km interval .
@meet6230 : try pirelli's 130/70 , grippy tyres but again supersoft tyres ... maybe prone to punctures and may need earlier replacement ... try any 130/70 profile ... should be okay .Last edited by nand15; 01-17-2011, 04:57 PM.People ask me , why are you cribbing about the BHP ? to them I say "MORE is never ENOUGH" xbhp.com

MRP (maximum retail price) is inclusive of all taxes.Originally posted by Helios View PostMRP is 210 bucks man! it comes to a total amount of 230 with TAX (12.5%)

My sprocket bill says 215.75 (unit price) + 27.25 (12.63% VAT) = 243 (MRP)#RetiredRider

Oh my bad!! thanx for the info buddy! in my bill they have printed TAX% = 12.50Originally posted by deville_56 View PostMRP (maximum retail price) is inclusive of all taxes.
My sprocket bill says 215.75 (unit price) + 27.25 (12.63% VAT) = 243 (MRP)
and RATE = 230.51
so I thought MRP is exclusive of tax and all! forgot the basics

It's normal. It's from the those tubes attached to the filter box.Originally posted by nand15 View Postyes it is ! , hmmm... i wonder is it like a typo or something ?

My rear tyre was also prone to puncture in the 15k km range, but after that it's never got any puncture, maybe pure luck, crossed 20k km on the same tyre.Originally posted by meet6230 View Posthmmm.........the same thing with stock ones.......early replacement and prone to punctures......ne suggestions wich removes these two as these have been the main issues......thanks.......#RetiredRider

Ownership Report: 3rd Servicing
Hi all,
got my 3rd servicing done today... so here are the details:
Odo Reading: 5412 kms
Oil Change: Rs. 224
Oil Filter Change: Rs. 65
Any problems:
* Clutch Replay had to be checked as at times, my gears would not engage from neutral to 1st or 2nd in traffic. So had to leave the clutch and then engage it again to change gears and then the gears would change freely. Problem is still niggling a bit but now a lot less. I guess the torsion spring problem thingi is still existent with all the FZs from different models.
* A Little bit of rear tyre wobbling... never felt any change in the characteristics of handling of the bike though, even at high speeds. Got it sorted out.
I must say i have to swear by MOTUL now forever!!! ... really working for me bike atleast !!
My engine is back to being super butter smooth and rev happy more than ever. Although, i don't care about FE anymore, but with change to MOTUL since my last service, the FE figures also shot up and the engine runs a lot more cooler at stop and go traffic. May be a rare case but regardless i am happy.A quote by a toilet, " use me well, keep me clean, i would never tell anybody whatever i have seen.." :P
