    Fazer has the distinct advantage of the fairing , which gives it better aerodynamics ... whereas on the FZ16 the windblast sitting up will just not let the bike pass 115kmph ... i achieved that with both me n pillion in a crouch ...

      Done about 11k+ on the ODO..and till date the max i've done is 116 on fz16.

      how does your bike feel after 105+.. is it a smooth sail or does it struggle ? before you done your mod i mean.

        I ride Fazer. Yeah, I guess Yamaha guys did the windtunnel test on Fazer's fairing before launching it. That might be the reason.

        BTW Both of you crouching would have been a sight indeed.

          Check the chain play and trye pressure. You can easily reach 122 KMPH on stock on a nice road and too sitting straight.
          the motul semi synth is 15W40 and not 20W40 and its price is around 420rs...

            I had read somewhere that Motul has 10W40 as well as 20W40 SS oils. Thats what is bugging me.

            Just want a SS oil of the recommended grade. I am damn confused of the grades now.

              It hasn't struggled as such , just took it's time getting there , no vibes , no nothing ...

              well there you go , I have seen guys do 130 odd on the Fazer . But doing 120+ on the FZ16 is a helluva task .

              regarding the oil grade , don't worry about the value before the "W" ...

                the 10w40 is FS not SS....
                if you want to go for SS for fazer you can use 15W40 motul....

                in fz or fazer you can use any of the following categories
                5W40
                10W40
                15W40
                20W40

                  well there you go , I have seen guys do 130 odd on the Fazer . But doing 120+ on the FZ16 is a helluva task .

                  130??? No I havent reached till there yet. I can imagine the load roar it would have made when it reached at that speed

                        my bad ! , yes 126kmph it was , but i'm sure it does 130 , my friends have done it , or so they claim ...

                        alright guys , mileage figures , this time complete thrash mode ,with my acceleration timings and the 112kmph run and some hard ripping ... 200 bucks worth of fuel at 65.43 per litre , the bike has hit reserve at 128kms ... approx mileage figure 41.96 ... hence it's consistently giving me about 42kmpl ..

                                finally i completed my projector setup in my fz. Its a bixenon hella projector, used in bmw 3 series. Now got a d1s 4300k osram xenarc hid. Waiting to get a proper ballast. Will upload pics sooon.....
