how would u fasten the "belly-pan" to the bike?
the mod is possible... but the R15 part would look funny and incomplete on it.
one option is using the "belly" that's on the Apache.
Well...bro, after looking at the pics of this white FZ posted by deville56 I sincerely think this R15 engine belly add-on is looking neither funny nor incomplete. It's looking quite neat and that's what I was looking for. Would soon go for it.
Anybody got a clue, how much would an R15 engine belly come for? Any rough estimate..I hope well under one grand.

that's because the guy's added on a black plastic (CIRCLED IN RED) piece in between both the pieces of the "belly".
that makes it look neat. that's part of the R15 plastic that's near the radiator. (it's been cut)

^^^
but it's THIS BLUE BIT which can be bit of an eyesore.
i like mods that look neat... and that bit, when left exposed... doesn't.
it might look good in the pic... but in the flesh... not so nice.
u're more than welcome to ur opinion. i was just sharing mine.
each side of the belly costs about 9OO rupees... so about 18OO rupees in all.Originally posted by fuzzy16 View PostAnybody got a clue, how much would an R15 engine belly come for? Any rough estimate..I hope well under one grand.
in addition... u'll need a few OEM collars/grommets/bolt/clips if u want the mod to stay vibe free..

I agree with xionite here , although looks are subjective I find this to be quite an eyesore ... @fuzzy16 : have a look at the apache's engine belly ... looks quite good and no pointy edges , looks better , but thats just me ...
P.S: Guys will the SVC stock fuses for the FZ16 ??? one of mine blew out yesterday , used the spare provided but need to replace the blown one ...Last edited by nand15; 01-28-2011, 10:12 AM.People ask me , why are you cribbing about the BHP ? to them I say "MORE is never ENOUGH" xbhp.com

Bike turn 1 today
Its been 1 year since the date of delivery
of my bike.. its been a wonderful journey so far... I care for my bike and my bike too cares for me always.. ODO moved to 10000 KM just 2 days back..
I never rode a geared bike before as I was using Kinetic Honda b4... Initially i struggled a little bit with the 1st gear alone.. but later all was fine... the handling and comfort is really awesome as im 6 foot tall...
There was no major accidents or complaints till now with my bike... Touchwood.. The only problem was when somewhen had pushed my bike down knowingly or unknowingly in a parking lot... there were scratches on the fairing and the rear view mirror... and the key never turned on... the whole unit was jammed and i had to use a local mechanic who fixed it in less than a minute...
I get a mileage of 38-40 KMPL which i consider more than enuf... once i was running out money, so i used the Splendor mode when I got mileage of 43... I always travel at around 80-100 and not more than that... Yamaha service is really good and im yet another very happy and loyal customer to yamaha..
I never rode for long distances but i do feel some pain in my butt if i travel for long time in traffic... also the pillion seat is too small which my wife keeps complaining always
and also since im in chennai, roads become worse during rainy season... Rear trye sprays the water like anything... but i have to mention the grip in the tyres (stock ones) is better than any other bikes currenty in india...
i wish to keep this bike for another 3-4 years atleast...

thanx for the reply shv18 and rohan. how do you persuade the folks at svc for the new torsion spring and other stuff, since i don't think my bike comes in that batch.Originally posted by shv18 View PostYUP, agreed with rohan.. quite a common problem. in my case the gear getting stuck or being hard has drastically reduced with change in engine oil to motul mineral oil compared to yamalube.
off the record, how much would it cost to change the gear box, gear lever and anything in relation to the gears.
regards,
rylan

Hey small suggestion , why would you want to change the gear box , when you already know most of the bikes have the problem even the newer ones ..Originally posted by rylan View Postthanx for the reply shv18 and rohan. how do you persuade the folks at svc for the new torsion spring and other stuff, since i don't think my bike comes in that batch.

actually speaking the SVC can't deny you the new parts as long as they don't have stock . try and cajole them to put it on your bike , if they don't agree or say "no stock " escalate it ...People ask me , why are you cribbing about the BHP ? to them I say "MORE is never ENOUGH" xbhp.com
