  • Another question.

How responsive Yamaha are to the complains? (like getting a call back or email reply in some minutes / hours / days)

What will be best way to raise an issue with Yamaha India? Is it via email or via their toll free line which is mentioned on the website?

Is there any other way to to lodge complain to Yamaha about any issue? (Like Suzuki have their complain portal to lodge complain)

FZ rear tire is having low profile means the distance between road and rim is not much if you compare with other bike's rear tire. So if your bike goes on big pothole at the speed of 60-80, tire will transfer all the force to rim, and sometimes it will break too.

Rim quality is not bad, it has to bear due to the rear tire.

Your mileage is too low, it must be running on too rich mixture. Mine one is giving 45-50 mileage, 45 is the least mileage. Drive your vehicle fast, but do not accelerate suddenly, increase speed slowly and try to be in the top gears max.

In run-in period do not speed more than 55-60kmph or more than 4-4.5rpm.
Otherwise your engine parts will not settle smoothly and it will become rough, and you will get less mileage also.

Treat is as baby, it will not give you any problem.

Please avoid SMS lingo here on XBhp its really tough to read your post. Regarding the "kat-kat" sound it should be coming from the Chain, it should be lose which produces this sound.

Also regarding the mileage, did you follow the run-in instructions strictly?

I think this totally depends on your riding style , aggressive at high RPM's go for FS else SS should do . I think SS is 15W40 and FS is 10W40 , not sure , others can confirm .

                  2) Spark plug - Irridium ( Ranjit sir or any one else Please provide the model no for FZ)

I think the Honda Shine's plug is what is suited for the FZ . the part number in the DSG website is given as NGKIHS125 .

                  3) Air filter - Stock ro be replaced by new stock..

                  should cost between 210-230rs .

YES ! I have tried this out , perfect fit , you will lose the low end torque but can cruise better at higher speeds . good if you are a highway dweller

                  8) anything else which may be required at 12500 kms to be replaced ?

                  • Hey guys,

I am facing a strange situation with my bike..
                    its 1.5years old...around 17k kms done...

The front suspension is really giving me problems...even the slight uneven roads seem to be like driving over a rock pile...

Also tyre pressure drops in the front wheel over a period of 5-6 days...to 22psi(from 28psi) as compared to rear tyre where 33psi remains 33psi for 2 weeks....

has anyone faced a similar situation?? if yes then wats the solution for it???

                      .
I need FS definitely as per my riding requirements but my query was can i shift to FS directly from mineral oil??

& thanks for confirming the sprocket mod.. Highway cruising is what I'm aiming for & willing to sacrifice the torque a bit..
Can you please elaborate the experience after your sprocket mod?
I mean, how much of a torque loss should i expect?
How is the top end? Is the engine comfortable to cruise at 90-100 kmph with the sprocket mod?
                      Fuel efficiency changes if any?

Check for any minor bends on edge of your rims.. my rear rims lost pressure regularly due to a bend which was rectified by hammering a bit

Do one thing. Hold one the front disk brake and try pushing pressure on the handlebar and release it. Do it continuosly for some time and then tell me how it is behaving.

If it is really hard go to the SVC and ask them to check the fork oil.

Yes you can shift to FS , I did that too ... no problems whatsoever .

read on from here bro , I have put up the details in the following pages

                              http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/motorcyc...z-16-a-832.htm

P.S : Getting really annoyed at yamaha spares centre ... I went there today to get engine oil and as usual it was " NO stock sir " ... , I went there a week back and they said the same and said it will be there in a week but again same story ... darn these buggers ... but atleast the dude had the fuse and the grommet and bolts i was looking for .

But hey here's the pricing , each T-hex bolt costed me 29rs ... comes in single cover packaging , i.e one bolt in one cover ( why am i saying this ??? I found it somewhat extravagant ) ... the grommets ( rubber type washer ) costed 3rs each and the Fuse was 20rs ... all in all , 4 bolts + 4 grommets + 1 fuse = 148rs .

                              • guys for some previous rides I am seeing that my bike goes to 90km+ with the rpm at 8-9000 but refuses to go ahead even with throttle pinned or varying throttle. It is not reaching 100+ after the last service.earlier it used to reach there with ease.
AND ALMOST 3000RPM STILL LEFT TO GO,it feels like that the bike struggling to go there,it cruises comfortably now in 90+speed.and also my bikes both tire pressure I keep--front=30;rear-37psi so it will not affect the top speed...please help....
