at 80-90 its not a problem.... but the wind factor at 100+ wont allow you to go beyond 120 untill and unless you crouch down which I dont think is advisable for long tours...

for better sound the various options are starting from the least expensive...

      1. remove the top cover of the air filter.... (cost 0rs consequence you might need an air filter earlier than before)
      2. You can also get your catcon removed (cost just mechanic cost to open up your exhaust consequence the exhaust pipe may get screwed up and if noticed by the MAMU you might be fined or worst the bike can be impounded.)

      3. Get K&N air filter installed (cost 4000rs-5000rs..... consequence you will have to find a good and trusted mechanin who can fit the K&N and rejet your bike otherwise the money spent on K&N will be just for the sound and nothing else)
      4. Local made free flow exhaust... (cost 6-7k... nothing but crude sound)
      5. Daytona Racing kit (cost 17000rs consequence better power, amazing sound) (contact xbhp member helios for the reviews he has just installed one of these couple of weeks back).
      6. Buy a new and bigger c.c. bike

LOL Thanks! That's a great list. I think I'll keep it on hold until I do point 6.

          • I have a black and green FZ-S.

I've been thinking of installing the FZ headlight and remove the "windshield" instead of the one they've given in FZ-S. Would it look good? How much would that cost?

many of us are dreaming of the same thing.... I have even started a saving scheme for the 1 litre....
              just imagine...

              1 litre of water =10rs
1 litre of milk =24 rs
              1 litre of cold drink = 30rs.
              1 litre of petrol = 55rs
              1 litre of scotch = 700 rs
              1 litre of champagne = 2500rs
              1 litre of engine = 1300000rs

              and the biggest one

1 litre of blood = PRICELESS.....

looks are totally subjective... plus the visor is totally removable....

and the headlight on both are same the only difference is of the indicator holders.... if you plan to change the indicator holders it should not cost beyond 300-400rs....

Can I remove the visor? Is it DIY?

Sure you can remove the visor only. Just take the manual and its a job you yourself can do. But the only means of identifying the FZ-S is its visor and FZ s with stickers are common now adays.

What is the mileage of FZ-S/FZ16???

How is the performance of the bike?
I also get a mileage of 45-48 kmpl in 40% highway and 60% city conditions. But only when I ride at 50-55km/hr with upshifting at 4k rpm and downshifting at 3rpm.

In the thrash mode, at 70-80km/hr it gives anything between 33-36km/hr.
The mileage just depends on the rider but unfortunately don't expect anything above 55kmpl.

                        • i seem to have a problem with downshifts. lets say i'm in 5th gear and have to apply sudden breaks and i shift down, it shifts to 4th but after that it doesn't. i would have to apply some throttle and then if i try it works.
