I assuming you are asking on the FZ....Originally posted by eliksir View Postwhere can i lock the helmet on this bike ? :-s
take of the seat and on the left hand side under it there is a metal hook and a slit in the back panel put your helmet in the hook and lock up the seat,....Timon: Orange Yamaha FZ16 2009

i dont think it takes hell lotta time.... i take the time because I have to lock in two helmets for the second I have bought a flexible cycle lock and fixed it in the saree guard and the rear grip....Originally posted by eliksir View PostDon't know about others but putting the seat back on takes a hell lotta time for me.Timon: Orange Yamaha FZ16 2009

wow.... it just means you are not doing it correctly.... try this...Originally posted by eliksir View Postdunno. it takes about 2 mins for me. it just wouldn't lock itself. sometimes i have to hit it real hard or rather smash it and people start staring :|
put the strap in the hook put the straps in the slit or the cut in the back panel just above the hook... the only thing you need to take care of is not to put the strap lock in between the back panel and seat....
after a couple of tries you will know what point of strap should go in the hook. just mark it for future reference with a permanent marker...

if that is the problem i would recommend you to take it up with the svc.... because mine locks with just a small push.... one more thing about locking the seat is its placement first lift the rear of the seat and push it in the slot near the fuel tank and then place it gently lining the center of the seat with the center of the rear panlem and then just a little push should get you through it...Originally posted by eliksir View Postthe helmet makes no difference. it takes the same time with and without the helmet.
I checked the clips and lock to see if there's any bends or twists. there are noneTimon: Orange Yamaha FZ16 2009
