H9 is single beam anyway and has a total diff. holder, you need to do some mods to fit it besides there is no real advantage. Why would you want only single beam?Smoke rubber, not tobacco.

I think its just a typo then nothing more than that.... becaus as said above you need different holders both for H9 and HS1 and they cannot be fitted in one single holder definitely not in a single bulb casing....Originally posted by cscsarkar331 View Postno bro it is fz only but the bulb is having both types written on it...IMO it cld b diff set up light than conventional fz..Timon: Orange Yamaha FZ16 2009

Barricade turns 1 [November 26, 2010]
Thanksgiving Day [Nov 26] freak out turned B'day special run. Had to run in very heavy rain in crater-laden road. Still
doing smooth and strong.
Summary:
18649 km in 365 days
Current mileage - 39-45 kmpl [only city ride, swapped job, so no more late night/early morning highway runs]
Maintenance/consumables:
Oil filter x2
Oil x7 - Yamalube - Yamalube - Motul - Motul - Elf - Motul - Yamalube - Motul [All mineral]l
Spark Plug x1 - NGK G-Power
Clutch return spring x1
Rear brake liner + spring x1
Current issues:
Pending service.
Knocking noise from front fork, need tightening.
Choked air filter [not exactly, maybe psychological, but I want replacement, but out of stock]
Clogged carb or too lean mixture [need tuning]
Still running on original chain/sprocket set , which were diagnosed dead at 15k km by the service people and I bought the spare chain set.
Rear tyre loosing traction in wet/gravel, almost end of its life, still lot of thread left, and susceptible to puncture.
Mods:
Bosch symphony + relay + fuse + wiring
Apache bar-end weights on CBZ rods
FZ-S Red Airscoops
Custom-painted matt black side panels, headlight side panels & exhaust cover
Custom rim stripes.
B'day special mods:
Custom F1 style LED tail lamp
Custom LED park light
Custom painted fork and grab rail [Archilles Black]
All mods are DIY

idling is increasing automatically
all of a sudden my bikes rpm is increasing without using throttle when i turn handle to RHS(only) when in neutral... can some body help me on this?? what could be the problem
My bikes service is pending... but due to heavy work slot i wasnt able to go to service center
Can somebody tell me how does Pacermotors, Marthahalli does the job?? or recommend some gud service center. I tried Orion/Pacer(Indiranagar) both are doing so-so jobs... nothing much appreciation towards them

I agree with eliksir here. I would take any where between 1 to 5 min to get it back on. Only after hammering the seat down hard does it stay.Originally posted by eliksir View PostDon't know about others but putting the seat back on takes a hell lotta time for me.
I dont if its the cool mesh seat cover that caused this problem.
Hey guys I want to put a helmet lock for my FZ. Where have u guys attached it if you guys use one?
I dont want to put it on the rear grab rails. Has any one put in on the handle bar near the speedo console??
Can it be attached there? Any probs if it is attached there?Everyone falls down, doesn't matter...
But its how fast you get up, that matters.....

I dont think there is any space in that location widthwise.... the problems you might face are scratches on the tank which wont look pretty, plus blocked vision because of the lock...Originally posted by dude_phenom View PostI agree with eliksir here. you can always use a cycle lock for your helmet... after locking the helmet sits comfortably on the seat but you will have to be careful with it because in that case the visor is prone to scratches if the process is not done properly at the same time it doesnt take more than 1 minute to lock it down... but the rear panel becomes susceptible to scratches which is anyway the case even if you use the bike's helmet lock....Timon: Orange Yamaha FZ16 2009

Now this is surprising me ... it takes me a couple of seconds to get it back on ...Originally posted by dude_phenom View PostI agree with eliksir here. I would take any where between 1 to 5 min to get it back on. Only after hammering the seat down hard does it stay.

Regarding the helmet lock , don't put it on the handlebar dude . like kinshuk said , tank is prone to scratches , visibility and maybe even your keychain gets tangled in between
...
I used to have it on the rear grab rails , but after the helmet lock was broken and my lid stolen , i lost trust on the whole institution of it
... now i jus carry my helmet along and if really necessary , i use the bike's helmet lock ...
People ask me , why are you cribbing about the BHP ? to them I say "MORE is never ENOUGH" xbhp.com

.....
Even my friends helmet was stolen the same way...with the lock itself

....so now hes using the cycle lock as kinshuk mentioned and it still stays there unlike the older one....
@eliksir: Regarding the seat lock mine would also take a lot of effort to get locked.....like ROCKY punch style effort
......
took it to the SVC and they changed it...but what i noticed is still it takes some effort.....
Believe me or not there is a sweet spot which u need to find out and voila!!!!....the seat gets locked with a soft push....atleast thats what i experienced and am sure about it....
@dude_phenom : i have seen a guy put the lock on the handlebar.....he is careful that the helmet is always on the speedo console and not on the tank.....
so locking the helmet even for a small ride is out of question...u can only use it when it is parked.....
hes been using it that way....hope this gives u some idea....
CHEERS.......

About locking the seat back.
Well if its really hard to close it back then just left the holder located below the seat...near to the tank.Smoke rubber, not tobacco.
