Yes. You can change the tyres, quality of the tyres will be gone nowOriginally posted by Kartik Shetty View PostAny idea about the cost of the front tires? Bike is 4yr old with 34k kms but threads look good.. Should I change it?
Cost is about 2.6k for MRF.
there are many brands with different prices in market.

Like deville_56 has already pointed out the solution. The bracket you have encircled in red is a part of the engine bay compartment. The bolt that you tried to open must have rusted and that is the reason it did open freely and sheared in half due to over torque applied for opening. Now you need to take your bike to a lathe/welding shop. They will weld a small rod on the broken bolt and remove the bolt. Or they might use a drilling machine and drill in anticlockwise rotation and remove the broken bolt.

Re: Yamaha FZ-16/ FZ-S
Hello Frnds... Logging in after a long time.
I had to move out of India for job related matters. and i had kept my love (Fazer - Cyber green) in a safe place. And i returned for vacation and i am so happy that i really didn't have any issues with the engine, pick up and braking. only thing was battery and it also got better as i started riding it (topped with Battery water)
So the point is, Kamla Yamaha at Sewree was the usual place i used to visit to service my bike and they used to do pretty good job. for some reason they are no longer in service. As i had to return back i chose to service it from a local workshop. He too did everything perfect except for messing with the front disc brakes.
the front Tyre is not freely rotating as the brakes are jammed. he tried pushing the piston back, it went, but as soon as I slam the brake the piston doesn't return to its original position and thus tyre doesnt rotate freely i hear this screech noise. He tried everything from insanely hammering the brake calipers till changing the brake pads.
guys could you please help what am i missing here ... i really love my bike and i don't wish to give her away for any reason. Probably i should try Brake fluid bleeding? Is it causing the piston to get stuck and obstructing the Tyre rotation?

Change the master cylinder kit and things will be back to normal. Bleed the brake later once the kit is installed amd make sure that the brake pads are installed properly.Originally posted by vimal_hbk View PostHello Frnds... Logging in after a long time.

Service the caliper, change the o rings inside the caliper, change the master cylinder kit.Originally posted by vimal_hbk View PostHello Frnds... Logging in after a long time.
