Re: Yamaha FZ-16/ FZ-S
So I started my bike after a month long break, given her oil leak. Did jugad at home to stop the leak myself for the time being and filled new engine oil. Road for a few kms, but the ride was too jerky with rpm going haywire along with strange hollow sounds coming from the exhaust.
Need to spend some money on her to bring her back to her glory.
Ride safe and have fun.
Regards
Nadeem

It isn't required. Just drain the old oil and fill new one.Originally posted by eagle06 View PostWhen changing engine oil from mineral to full synthetic , is engine flusher is required or just empty old oil and use new one??The real beauty lies in throttle's twist!!
Headlight can be replaced, Head cannot be. Wear a helmet.

It's not broken. It's the bolt that is broken and half still inside. Go to some lathe or workshop and take it out and put a new bolt.Originally posted by Bhavesh Savaliya View PostPlese guide me.

What happened exactly?Originally posted by Bhavesh Savaliya View PostFrom where i can get the part circled in the attached photo. Plese guide me regarding the name and part no. for that spare part. I cant close front sprocket cover. Can I get that part online? Please guide me
Did the threads in those holes wear out? Then excessive force was applied while tightening the bolts. I think 10Nm is recommended force, i.e. about using two fingers (not the wrist-force) on T-Spanner.
Is that part completely removable? I can't make it out from the parts catalogue.
It's better to replace on both forks if they both had similar mileage on them; if not then it's shoddy work during last oil-seal replacement.Originally posted by devils_friend View PostI have to change the whole oil seal set or changing one particular seal will be good?
You've the check the condition of
- Oil-Seal
- Oil-Seal-Washer
- Dust-Seal
- Snap-Ring
How many kms have you done on that fork oil? You can change fork-oil if you've crossed say 10k kms.Last edited by Freak inExile; 09-06-2016, 11:45 AM.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
